  • Please come back to Halifornia. I need to take my girlfriend to a show (finally). She just got back from Europe a couple weeks before the show and simply could not afford to come along, but was kind enough to allow my friend and I to see all 3 Atlantic Canadian shows. Greatest girl on earth in my opinion. After I got back, and told her all of the great tales (and she listened to the bootlegs) she went out of her way to become a huge PJ fan so that next time she'll be dying to come along. I owe it to her to take her to a show, and Halifax would be a great spot for her first PJ live experience.

So, c'mon! Pearl Jam, Live at the Halifax Metro Centre, Spring 2007.........may as well make a DVD of it as well, eh?

PS: Ed, if you want to play "Throw Your Arms Around Me" as a pre-set, it would be huge. My girl loves that cover.

awesome idea, hard to see without a north east u.s. tour to coincide, but one (or more) days....
  • Here's a much needed bump on the day after attending the massive and epic Rolling Stones concert in the Halifax Commons. A show that made me dream yet again of PJ returning. As much pyro, fireworks, and flames as there were last night, it still came nowhere to topping that night in September in 2005.

checking in for the cause.. HALIFAX and ST JOHN'S ROCK!!
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green
  • Happy aniversary fellow PJ Halifax 05 mates, checking in for the cause too!! I'll never forget it and will definately be there for the next one...
    I AM MINE !!!!!

yup. i agree. i was there. i was cold, wet and miserable. my friend and i left early.

if it had been PJ i would have stayed all night in the pouring rain and the cold cold winds.

  • hey

I was There but at the Metrocenter for hockey insted of the stones i saw them in moncton last year and they were awsome but I already had hockey tickets and it was pouring rain got some swee pics of the set up and tear down of the stage though saw some awsome hockey and even found a copy of Pearl Jam: Live at easy street ep (which is awsome by the way) at the HMV in the Mic Mac mall so all in all a pretty sweet time in Hali although not as good as the time one year ago when Pearl Jam was there.

Did you get the PM, as I'm assuming everyone on these boards did ? It stated that there is a movement in the Southern U.S. to draw PJ down there by way of an environmental casue - i.e.: a tree-planting campaign. It was kinda clever i thought, though I'm not sure how original such an idea is, or how much "pull" it might have.

Speaking of pull, I just remembered Eddie saying, " I say what kinda pull do we have in this goddamn town ?!" HA.

And yeah, what happened to our ;little Wintersleep connection ?!
