MayDay - Is there a best lot to tailgate in for Bills games? And what time should I plan on getting there?

You're right about Anchor Bar Mayday but if you're a tourist it's a place to go.

Mookie when I go to Bills game I usually park in a private lot on Southwestern Blvd it right next to a place called Louie's Texas RedHots last time I went it was 25 to park but they open their lot earlier than the stadium lot's and it's right next to the stadium. Google maps has the lot addressed as 3900 U.S 20. When me and my cousin go we are usually there at 8am which is a great time to go.

I would suggest to be at whatever lot you choose to park no later than 10 as traffic will become outrageous.

I was also able to book the Holiday Inn downtown for 2 nights (Sat/Sun) and was told by the front desk staff that they won't reserve rooms for a single night when everything in town is booked solid. But I agree with above-keep checking for available hotel rooms! Something is bound to become available.
With that being said, I know nothing about Buffalo. Suggestions are welcomed!

Go to Duff's in Amherst it's wing place. There is the Anchor Bar which is okay but I prefer Duffs. You want the Duffs in Amherst that's the one to hit.

Ilio Dipaolos in Blasdell is awesome it is an Italian restaurant and it is very affordable. It's south of downtown but worth the drive if you have a car. If you leave this restaurant hungry it's your own damn fault.

Anchor Bar is okay it's where the chicken wing started. Stay away from suicide sauce if you can't handle hot sauces.

Pearl Street bar and grille is awesome as well. Looks like the pre party might be there though.

If this is your first time to WNY make sure to try a Beef on Wec you will not regret it.

I've heard rumor of the Beef on Wec-will definitely try one somewhere.
Thanks for all the tips. :)

I'll be there early no doubt. I've been to a few Bills games before, but this will be my first time driving to the stadium on my own. Do they still allow everyone to walk around freely with open containers or has that changed? Also, I am sure this is true for the private lot, but do the stadium lots let you grill in the lots? I am assuming as in most stadiums they do.

I will be honest I have not been to a game for about 3 or 4 years. Just got fed up with spending good money only to watch a shit team.

With that said in all my years of going and being an adult I have never had a cop say anything to me about open container. Yeah you can grill in the stadium lots. I see people all over the place with grills.

    Bills games:

100% park on the North Side of the stadium. Easier to leave and it is more happening. I prefer not to park on the small private lots. Bigger ones are fine (and open earlier).

I prefer lot 5A and 5B. Just Northeast of 5A is a good private lot.

If you are looking to stay the whole game, plan on bringing food/drink for postgame. It is so much easier/better to wait it out and chill.
