I have only been to 3 shows during that time period (I was living in St. Paul at the time). The first in 1995 in Milwaukee. The second time in 1998 in Minneapolis. I did not buy tickets to multiple shows nor did I road trip to see them after 1995. I moved to the Dallas area in 2001. The last time I would see the band live was in Dallas in 2003. I have continued to pay my dues EVERY YEAR since hoping the band would return to Dallas. I have see the price go up from $5 to $40 yet I continue to stay in the club to get the single and still retain the opportunity to get tickets if the band ever came to Dallas again. Well, they finally add a date here for the first time in 10 years! And what have they done with the ticket system? Well everyone knows. I do not have the funds to pick multiple shows in case by chance I would win more than one. I go with my one and only pick of Dallas GA and I wait all fucking day to see if I won. I wake up today and about 1 AM I was sent the e-mail saying I lost. No tickets. 10 years I waited for a show only to be shut out. Many folks on this board have been seeing them numerous times over the years. And a lot of you got your tickets again this time. I do not see the fairness in this system especially when you can purchase tickets for multiple shows. I bitched to the Ten Club back in Jan. when they did there test run to no avail. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. It makes no difference now if you just joined before the deadline or have been in it for 19 years when it comes to tickets. I know there will be many smart asses on here to rip me a new one or to tell me to stop my bitching. That's fine. So this is my only statement on this. Going forward I will no longer pay my dues and support this so called fan club anymore. Ten years and not a single ticket purchase yet I stuck with it. I tried the lottery but I lost. Retire my club number. Give it to the scalpers or the new kids. The bitching now stops but so does my money to the club and the band. Thanks. Hopefully U2 won't pull this shit for their next tour... Off my angry soapbox now. Peace.
You do realize like 75%+ of the tickets available to see the band at AAC in Dallas will be avail on 7/27. Not getting fan club tickets really isn't that big of a deal. Just buy them like the majority of people do for every other concert in the worldDallas, TX 11-12-1993 | Austin, TX 09-16-1995 | Dallas, TX 07-05-1998 | The Woodlands, TX 10-15-2000 | Dallas, TX 10-17-2000 | Camden, NJ 07-05-2003 | Las Vegas, NV 07-06-2006 | Honolulu, HI 12-09-2006 | Chicago, IL 08-05-2007 | New York, NY 05-21-2010 | Dallas, TX 11-15-2013 | OKC, OK 11-16-2013 | Tulsa, OK 10-09-20140 -

Exactly. I didn't get tickets through TC for Cleveland in 2010. Waited fairly late, scored through a late release situation. Ended up sitting side stage 9 rows from Mike McFuckincready. People put way too much emotional stress on themselves over fan club tickets.0 -
To not put reserved as choice number 2 makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. You had a week to read the rules. Or was it GA or nothing for you?
Either way, I'm having a hard time sympathizing with you.0 -

Funds didn't allow me more than one option in case I did win more than once. I am just frustrated beyond belief and very disappointed, it's true. It's not mailing in a money order with a order form like the old days. I loathe Ticketmaster to death. What I see in the forums though is that this band has some of the coolest fans in the world!
Peace.

rizzdaddy wrote:You should have selected every ticket option that existed for the show. GA isn't that big and it's a lottery for that but Reserved tickets are based off of senority. Wish you would have got the tickets but it's not all on them. You can only get 2 tickets for each show. You should have read the rules better.
Plus, with his/her #, he/she probably would've been closer than a lot of GA people, just off to the side more. Whoopsies.0 -
Sorry you lost out on tickets.
I'm more sorry that you follow U2. Bono is the worst human alive......
Anyway, sell me your records

The guy said he didn't enter for reserved as he was afraid of winning both that and GA, he obviously hadn't read the rules very carefully prior to the drawing.0

Wishlist parties also have need a ticket / have a ticket sign up sheets before the showdignin wrote:MD4331 wrote:Thanks for all the messages guys, good & bad. Yeah, especially people who don't read the lottery rule before playing, and then get all bitchy when they lose because they screwed up. That's what the OP did, can you believe it?0 -

When in 1994 did you join? I think I joined in March of 1994 and my number is 64XXX. There must have been a lot of new memberships that year.MD4331 wrote:I have been in the Ten Club since 1994. Only thing I can or will say here, and this is NOT ripping on you....We are(the fanclub) over 350,000 strong from what I figure these days, maybe more.....tough to make everyone happy or fill all the requests that come down...Sounds to me like they are truly TRYING to do this as random as possible, and with only one show chosen, your chances were low....sorry, but i didnt win all my requests either...i hope u change your mind as next time it could be your turn....take care....Never, ever, flipping forget

My friend was going to see Eddie last night. Since he was in Vegas, I gave him 5 Grand to gamble with. I told him I wanted it all to go on Black. Bastard! PhillyCrownOfThorns-11-2-120 -
oh you're right. the fan club should know about you. do you know how arrogant that sounds? seriously the club is up to 350,000. Again please look the definition of lottery up in the dictionary. you are ridiculous.0

I hate you. Hear me out- I lived in Racine, the next largest city south of MKE, and as a high school student with an important exam that day I hoped the best with my friends going to the store to buy tickets. They did a lottery (lol) for purchasing numbers at that Boston Store Ticketmaster, and we were shut out. Now, this wouldn't be so bad, but in the ensuing years I met TONS of people who were at those shows, who were casual fans at best! Grrrrrr. I joined the Ten Club the next year.
P.S. I don't really hate you.0 -
I'm with you ... I'm done paying 40 bucks for some stickers ...
I'm 0 for 16 with this new lottery system member since 95 Why am I even paying my dues ?have you seen the colors of my fathers eyes0 -
"MD" - You have been a ten club member forever and you are just now making your first posts on the forum. You have every right to come on here and bitch, complain, throw tantrums or whatever the hell you want to do as you have been paying your dues and god knows a lot of what goes on in here is of a similar nature. But part of what this forum is also for is for like minded people to get to know each other and be able to help each other out. My suggestion is to keep your great membership number but engage in more of the regular conversations, as there are some if you look around and get to know the people who then may be able to help you out in time of need such as if you need a spare ticket or two. There is a crazy amount of good will and generosity that goes on in this place but can get overshadowed by the negativity? Also, You never know, PJ could scrap this ticket system at any time and go back to the seniority gig and you are right back in it. In the words of one Eddie Vedder: "I know things could be different if I Hollllld onnnnn!0

I think getting shut out of your hometown should not happen. The ten club needs to get there shit together when it comes to distributing ten club tickets. I have been saying that people who live in the state where pearl jam is playing should be entitled to ten club tickets first. This would avoid people being screwed like this.Post edited by corduroykelly on0
