What time is the GA crowd planning to start forming? Is the Rose Garden as big of a cluster F*@k as some of the East Coast venue in terms of multiple entries, unmarked, etc

Thank god you posted. I've been hesitant to tell people that my girlfriend and I are taking our 9 month old, based on the negative reactions I've seen on these boards. He'll have ear protection, and he's been to loud events before. It's not really that big of a deal. We're going to be in seats though.

Can anyone from Portland recommend some good neighborhoods to visit? I'm staying downtown but I'm sure there are nice places to venture out to to stroll, eat, shop, hang our etc. - places I can get to w/o a car.

I like walking around downtown, just north of downtown (across Burnside), and walking down SE Hawthorne and doing loops of that street. There's parts of North Portland that look like fun, but I haven't been in that area of town much.
Having been in Portland a few times, there's pretty much something cool just about everywhere. It's a very lively city!
