Unlike some of the others, I don't even have tracking for mine. Under my order, it just says shipped. Checked my email again to see if I missed it -- nothing.

Oh, well! It will be worth the wait. I've already give the album a few listens with the digital download. Really good stuff.
The vinyl's not limited. They pulled it from the shop because a huge proportion of them are all fucked up. Something went seriously wrong during the pressing and, apparently, during the packaging as well.
And during shipping, apparently. I've seen the humorous posts showing the route packages are taking to get to people. I've never seen anything quite like that -- even from Mail Innovations.
  • This was my 40th birthday. I am a pastry student at a culinary school and as soon as class let out I drove fast as it gets to purchase this CD.

I'm so happy with all the work that went into the vinyl. The cover is gorgeous, inserts...oh to have stickers again..it brought me back to 1833 when I had my first Beatles album, Sgt. Peppers- it came with cut out mustaches, monocles, and you could listen to the album face to face with the foursome...my first crushes. I spent weeks....back when phones were cans on strings, and the internet was a huge library containing killed trees with words on them.. oh the joy of a book!... looking up who these odd faces were on the cover... and if I would ever be on one myself. This is a great piece of art... So loving it. It's now in my "DO NOT TOUCH" part of the house... although there will be a time when I will blast it loudly as an LP should be..it's music, not a painting. But I love it so!!

Mike... mine went to three of the same places and I got it by the third location, and I'm in Las Vegas. Weird.... I guess they'll be selecting a new service next time. I always think of A Christimas Story when things like this arrive, because of the lightening bolt sticker on the package-- it says "Fragile-- that must be italian"

Hahaha, i love that movie, but yeah, i don't understand why it would go past me, to AZ, then back to California? Whoever is in charge of the shipping, really needs to get a new map, or some new GPS unit with updated maps.

Finally had the pleasure of listening to the album LOUD on my loud speaker set-up (not often I get the house to myself thesedays) and it made me love the songs more. The second half of the album has grown on me and I totally love those songs now.

Yesterday during my lunch break I went to Best Buy, Futureshop, Walmart & Taz Records. None of them had the Lightning Bolt CD. I have one coming from 10club but I want a CD for work.

So today I stopped by Mic Mac Mall's HMV store. And low & behold .. IT WAS THERE!!! :D

Gee we get ripped off here in Australia.
    Paid $22 for my copy.

  • Love the new album! Thank you Pearl jam! "Future Days" taps into my soul like only a few songs Ive listen to in my life has before. I put it up there with a songs like "In my life" by the Beatles and "Blue" by the Jayhawks.

Anyways reason I'm posting... People talking about the vinyl release being messed up. Not sure if this is what they found but i was able to get a hold of a copy of Lighting Bolt on vinyl side one, perfect.. flipped it over and started playing side two ... all of a sudden i hear the periodic little skip and im like what the .....!! this is a new album. Take a look and there is a slight scratch and like little bits a white, like a sticker going through "Pendulum". Anyways cleaned it up and it works fine other than that i dont see any other defects to mention.

Kind of curious to find out why some were pulled if it was over this issue or if there is something else ive yet to discover.
  • I live in Brazil and I am pretty sure it should be another 4 weeks before I get a chance on getting the album. :D
When let's open up another beer, listen to the damn mp3 and say... it's life.
    In love with music

The album was front of the store at eyeline in HMV in Truro (nearest to me)

It charted today on the UK album chart at Number 2 (combined physical and digital copies) and was Number 1 on the UK specialist rock genre chart - highest UK chart entry since Vs.

  • I always wonder if the magic will at some point disappear. I'm not sure how they do it, but once again, another incredible album with powerful tracks....one after the other. This is the greatest rock band in the history of music. Period.

My vinyl copy hasn't shown up but now, hearing about how half of them are screwed up, I'm a bit nervous about getting it. Any idea if they are accepting returns on defective vinyl?

I'm in the UK and haven't received my CD or vinyl yet but I have received the shipping confirmations. I did however receive my vault 3 vinyl today which was shipped about 1 week before Lightning Bolt so I'm hoping it's getting closer to these shores now. Impatient to hear it properly (not on my iPod!)

There isn't (nor never has been as far as I can recall) tracking on international orders after dispatch so I don't ever bother to look.

Nope, I never had a tracking number. I just hope each that the postman brings me a vinyl shaped box. Today he did. One down, one to go!
  • My father (who is also my mailman) told me that my record will be waiting for me when I get home from work today.
