Now I'm thinking it definitely is actually "Self-realizing that I'm physically redeemed" ..... It really doesn't sound like he's saying metaphysically at all. There is definitely no "m" sound there.

Love it. Fucking love it. A Mccready solo in a punk-like song. Ed is back to writing lyrics that you can't digest at once and grow with you. A bit angry and questioning his/our place in the world today with all the bullshit going on around us. Religion and right wing nuts having too loud of a voice. It is frustrating living in a world that seems to be lost, yet maybe we can find some way to turn it around.

But one of the reviews I read said that MYM is not only the lead single ... but the lead track off of Lightning Bolt. Makes sense because the track supposedly is 3:08 long on the album. The single is only 2:39. So that dark droning stuff from the tour announcement video probably leads into MYM for the 1st :30. Just like it did in the video.

I would be willing to bet you are right. For sure the 1st track, maybe the droning fades out the album like Master/Slave. Lightning bolt - it hits with a flash then slows to a growl.

Bit underwhelmed - it reminds me of Comatose, so I hope it doesn't mean Lightning Bolt is going to be similar to Pearl Jam (Avocado) - weakest album IMO. Loved Backspacer though - don't agree with some of the negativity towards that....
I like the new song. Def don't love it. I am opposite of you, I think Backspacer is their weakest album and I LOVE self titled (Avacado). If this new album was like ST, I'd be one happy camper. Not so much if it is similar to Backspacer.

Listening to the lyrics and looking at the artwork, I'm interpreting this to be a scathing shot at the catholic church. The priests always saying, "mind your manners" while behind the scenes there is some seedy stuff going on. The band looks to be in the mood to stir some shit...........................and I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER!

I think it a cool rocking typical punk style PJ song that we get from time to time. I'm enjoying it.
I'm hoping the album gives us some haunting sounding stuff though as for me, that's what they're greatest at.
