The album is amazing. I saw them at the Wiltern last month, and they sounded surreal. I was up in the balcony, and you could feel it moving as the crowd danced and partied. It was one of the best shows I've been to recently.
I wish I was a radio song, the one that you turned up
I got the one with the blue cover and the first disc sounds off. Thrre is an almost continuous stactic sound throughout both sides. The disc itself looks slightly different from the second one. Has slight marbled look while the second disc is mint black. Anyone else have this issue?
Hell yea! This show is going to be nuts. 11:30 pm start time. I hope they rock a solid 2+ hour set and Lanegan shows up for a few songs. I'd lose my mind
Good to see other PJ fans are going to be there!

This album is making me re-think that. I've seem QOTSA 4 times now, most recently in Chile and they rip your face off live. ....like Clockwork is an amazing release. Can't stop listening to it.
I don't know if PJ can release something this good after an equally long layoff.
San Jose 10/93, San Francisco 6/95, San Jose 11/95, St Louis 4/03, Columbus 5/10, MSGII 5/21/2010, Alpine Valley 09/03/2011 and 09/04/2011
How does one access QOTSA pre-sales? Is there a sign-up/fan club/etc? Thanks.
Do you mean all these secret shows popping up? I saw the update on Facebook for the Brooklyn show. The show is tonight and they announced it yesterday. They did hint about it earlier this week, with posts like "stay tuned, NYC" and then something like "Brooklyn, I'm looking at you"

I mean like the show in August in LA that had a pre-sale. When they play a show near me I want to be able to access pre-sale tix..
Holy Christ that show in Brooklyn last night was fantastic. Played the entire album from front to back. Fairweather Friends for the first time! My only complaint is that the show was an hour and a half long. The first set was ...Like Clockwork in its entirety. Came back on to play only 4 more songs. With a back catalog like they have, I expected a 2 hour show. Got to hear Millionaire though!

Nice. I'd take it.
how much were the tickets?
Tickets were free for me. Got them through Looney Tunes Records by ordering the album from them. They sold tickets to the public on Thursday for $50.

Drop1The0Leash - same complaint for me! Really thought they would play at least 2 hours given that most of us were waiting in line in monsoon-like conditions, I was completely drenched before/after the show, and during the show my feet were basically in a puddle in my shoes Other than that, show was fantastic! Awesome energy from both the band and the crowd. I think it got a bit moshy in the middle but I was off to the side close to the front, super cool people around me. And I was so stoked that they had an event shirt made! Didn't think they would given the small venue, and they were only $25. And every shirt purchase came with a free download code. Very cool all around.
peacefrompaul - tickets were $50+service charge, so ended up being around $55. Probably on the pricey side, however the experience was worth it for me!
In case anyone's interested, the blue cover version of the vinyl is available at Vintage Vinyl. Says limited to 1,000 copies, but they don't seem to be numbered: http://www.vvinyl.com/store/queens-of-t ... tone%20age
If you are in NYC, Generation Records and Other Music seem to have a good amount.
I love the new album, and I've never been a huge fan even though I did see them two nights in a row at PJ20

+1. If it makes a member from 98 with only 2 posts throw up a 3rd, you know the shit is good.
