    Agreed, BD! I will refrain from listening to any more songs now I think. I don't want to spoil the first spinning of the the vinyl for myself :mrgreen:

    And finally caved and preordered the deluxe vinyl. I'm going to give it to myself for my birthday hehehe ...

    Yeah same here. I ordered it on Amazon anyway so I feel no guilt. Haven't listened to it yet though. Saving it for tomorrow's drive to work.

    This album has blown me away. I was excited by the previews, but somehow it's exceeded my expectations. Kalopsia is amazing in so many ways. The songs are all over the place, and you can really hear so many different influences and styles that only QOTSA can bring together. Solid from beginning to end.

    Its been a very good year for new music. Just need a killer AiC and Pearl Jam albums to round it off 8-)

    "Smooth Sailing" - Its like a mix between Eagles of Death Metal and Them Crooked Vultures. The way he sings, makes me think of EoDM, but that guitar reminds me of New Fang.

    Yeah that's my favorite so far too and I totally agree about the Eagles Of Death Metal feel.

    I had to look up which song Jake Shears (Scissor Sisters) was on. He's on Keep Your Eyes Peeled. I think he's singing backup. Forgot Alex Turner was on the album as well. Very solid though.
