Gotta go Like Clockwork. It's absolutely perfect. The songs are all really good and it's put together very well. Lightning Bolt has some really cool stuff, but sequencing feels like an afterthought towards the end and um.....Future Days.

Trouble Will Find Me gets top billing over both for album of the year for me though. Dr. Dog and Jim James round out the top 5.

... Like Clockwork. That doesn't mean I don't love LB. I think it's great. But Like Clockwork is one of the best albums of all time for me, so I don't mind saying that it's better than LB... It might be better than any PJ album, or at worst equal to PJ's best, which is saying a LOT!

To me, Like Clockwork is kinda darker, and has a lot of depth. Where LB has (IMO) has more of a variety of light, dark, rock, etct...type of songs.

I totally agree. That album really spoke to me when it came out, and I was in a dark place at that time. So I still relate it to that every time I listen to. Like Clockwork is a very personal album to me, that why I love it as much as I do.

Like Clockwork was the best album I had heard since Them Crooked Vultures. Josh Homme really knows what's up right now.

LB is even better than I expected it to be though. I absolutely love it.

I hate to say it, I don't think PJ can match it, Like Clockwork is that good.

Now that I've heard LB a few times I will say this: I still say Clockwork is better than LB, but it's because Clockwork is probably the best thing I've heard in a decade. It's not because of any short fallings by Pearl Jam, Lightning Bolt is really good, so glad that it's a top notch record. But Clockwork is just genius.

I've always wanted to go to Australia. If the rumors of an NIN/QOTSA tour down under are true.......will think long and hard. Dates supposedly to be announced Thursday.

Like Clockwork for me. LB is outstanding but lacks the consistency and stand alone greatness of Like Clockwork. I don't think there is any filler on Like Clockwork.
