Your question whether the guy should pay for support if the woman gets pregnant?


Well.... if he did not take the necessary basic precautions himself, pregnancy (and therefore the possibility of fatherhood) is a consequence of his actions and he should take responsibility. Whether he wanted this final outcome or not (ie birth). For me, it's not a question of 'conversation beforehand' (as you say.. how many do have this conversation) but personal responsibility. Live with the consequences (man and woman). You don't want something to happen, you ensure it doesn't. If you've been foolish enough to have unprotected sex, you need to accept possible outcomes, including fatherhood. If the guy has been deceived, then he takes it to through the courts. I know it takes two to tango but one does what is necessary for one's self - cover your back, basically. And get a DNA test when the baby is born (can be done in the womb but oh so risky...).

'Committed' fuckbuddies are different to the random hookups. I'm sure most will have some kind of 'conversation' and ensure 'foolproof' (as foolproof as it can get) protection. If not, there are no words for their stupidity.

The law may seem a bit one-sided to blokes here when it comes to a woman's pregnancy (though not sure about US law). A guy can't force a woman to terminate her pregnancy if he doesn't want the kid and she does, nor force her to bring it to term if he does want the kid but she doesn't. Still considered a medical issue..

My thoughts. Maybe not what you like to hear but, if I had a son, that's what I would be telling him.

So, I've done some serious thinking and I think that a woman's rights and her right to do whatever she wants with her body have been limited way too much. And I have been thinking about where we are as a society. And I have sympathy for wome who choose to have a baby then discover that their body is required to keep that baby alive. So I think that a women or parent (women/man,women/woman, man/man, men/man) should lawfully be able to choose to do whatever they want with a child until it can express itself. If they want to inject themselves with speedballs while their baby is locked up in the room for days then they should legally be aloud. Because it is their body and life begins at expression.

I realize the world is progressing and I believe my opinion is forward thinking. Join me and let's move FORWARD!

So much effort being used up in just trying to rouse people, comes across as a little trollish, hence the label being given you.

I've been doing some serious thinking too, and Its quite clear that some are already thinking like you. My Mother used to drive me around in the 70s without a seatbealt in the car. Cleary trying to kill me. Then she always bought donuts and diet coke. This is a clear attempt at my life. And now, to top it off, she let me move out and fend for myself. How the fuck am I supposed to survive? She's clearly murdering me, slowly..
