  • I'm kinda interested in one but need to ensure a room with 2 spearate sleeping areas as I (allegedly) snore like a monster...

Just booked the 2BR suite for $115 CDN per night for Sat/Sun.
Two separate bedrooms and a common area with kitchenette.

Imagine that, a kitchenette in kitchener!

    What a good deal!

Now I can get drunk and snore till the cows come home!
And my tour buddy will be thankful that he can sleep in peace....

Talked w Katrina at the 800# and she was really cool...
  • .......bump....... will hopefully be booking a room for the 10th and 11th soon

  • Are most of you staying here the 10th also? Just curious. I haven't made my mind up yet. Guess I should probably do that....

    Hi there folks,

This is just an update and a bump.

I just spoke to Katrina at the Walper. She informed me that there are currently 40 rooms booked under the 10 club rate! There are only a few more rooms left in the hotel at this time, so if you're interested in getting in on the party, call soon to book your room.

And just an FYI for those of you who don't want to read through the whole thread: there is an after party scheduled at their on-premises pub with discounted drinks available to guests staying under the 10C group rate. Sweet!

    cheers,
    joe

    Hello,

I'm Rodolfo from Mexico, 3 more friends and me will go to 3 shows, Kitchener, London and Hamilton. But we haven't booked any hotel reservation. Please, help me:

    1. How many parties will there be? :)
    2. Do you have the email of the lady, Janet Jackman? (Walper Terrace Hotel)
    3. Which London hotel will be the right one?

    Thanks in advance!

    hey rodolfo,

i'm not sure i can answer all of your question fully, but i'll try.

there will be one long party! it's a tour...

    2. Do you have the email of the lady, Janet Jackman? (Walper Terrace Hotel)

    janet@walper.com

and when you email her, remember to mention the 10club group rate...

    3. Which London hotel will be the right one?

i think a lot of jammers are planning to stay at the comfort inn. there is no group rate, there, though.

    hope this info helps!

you should call the comfort inn again and tell them if they don't give us $20 off each room then we're all going down the street.

would be worth a shot? how many peeps have reservations there?

i went through expedia and got a room there for $78 - i didn't think
    that was too bad

at the walper terrace, i got a 2 BR suite, all they had left, for 10th and 11th for $140 per night - guess i should have booked sooner
    Nice shirt.

i doubt that would work, since most seem to have booked through expedia and there's no way to cancel an expedia reservation. that's why expedia sucks and i was trying to convince people to go with the (slightly more expensive) group rates...

fyi - a 2BR suite at the walper would be 115 with the group rate!

I just went through the comfort inn website... it only costs around $75 CAD and is cheap in compasion to other hotels in walking distance.....

    Fuckin' A!!!!!!!!!

Haven't checked this thread in ages and that is sweet news. I'm sure we could convince them to play ONLY PJ music too............ I am more excited now than ever . . .

Plus, I just recently confirmed my travel partner. My first partner won't be in town after all, the second guy I asked (although a huge fan) doesn't want to/can't miss work on Monday (not THAT big of a fan I guess!), so the third guy I asked is all for it. He'll enjoy the PJ-party I'm sure . . . .

i'm really glad this hotel is turning out to be such a success. i got group rates for hotels in hamilton and montreal as well, but nothing as successful as kitchener. expect the hotel to be more than half full of pearl jam fans, which means a raucous party at their pub.

    can't wait for september!
