Eddie Vedder's first solo gig on the April Fool's tour in Vancouver (technically the second as there was a small "warm-up" in Seattle the night before if I recall correctly.)

CSB: Tried for 10C tickets through the site ... a glitch in the system made it seem like there were still tickets left, so I kept trying, getting sent to an error page, etc. Next thing I know, my card's being rejected. Every seemingly failed transaction put a hold on my card, so it was tapped out. Thankfully I had a "back-up" credit card; the funds on my primary card hadn't been released by the time the public onsale happened through Ticketmaster. The public's allotment were gone in about 3 minutes, I think. I was extremely lucky to get a ticket through TM. The Centre for Performing Arts only has 1836 seats. 8-)

    winner. Lucky SOB.

Mods, feel free to shut this thread down.

I felt pretty lucky when I got tickets to Toronto 1 and 2 in 2011. And MSG 2008 (both shows)

There were a few others, non-PJ though:

    Coachella 2007
Audioslave, koolhaus, Toronto 2005 (cap 2900)
Incubus, Verizon Wireless center, Houston 2007 (cap 2000) - note this was right before the band went completely opposite to my tastes
Kings of Leon, koolhaus, Toronto 2008 (cap 2900 - but way more ppl there than that)
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

Pearl jam / voters for choice - 1/15/95 dar hall, dc.
First show, my 15th birthday, and a hundred envelope entries sent in. Was SO stoked.

Nine inch nails - 1994 - Fayetteville - won tickets off Charlotte radio station. Unbelievable.
Marilyn Manson - Jeremiah's, Charlotte, nc 1995 - "secret" show at a tiny ass club. Fucking awesome.
Porno for pyros - 1996 - Atlanta - sold out, sent an aol IM to mike watt and asked if there was any way possible, and he actually put me on the guest list (and sent me a "big train" 7") - guy is a class act!
Soundgarden - 2012 - Borgatta - was actually mildly depressed how easy these were to score.
Janes addiction - oct 2011 - Irving plaza, NYC - same story as above. Mildly depressed it sold out so slowly.

    AND

ARO.Space 5/7/98 - small secret show in Seattle. Matt Cameron's 1st. Waited outside and was almost the last person let in. Missed the 1st couple songs but it was incredible.

I still think Holy Balls as well. I guess I was lucky to grow up in Seattle and be just the right age at the right time. I still can't believe the Mad Season show I got into. I went to the bar to get a beer and bellied up next to some dude that turned out to be McCready. Then I was standing there by the stage waiting for them to go on. Some dude bumped into me. I turned and it was Layne Staley making his way to the stage. And what a fantastic show....
