Not too big of a fan yet. It may grow on me. Very Depeche Mode.

Finally heard the song Cyr sounds pretty damn good I think. Yeah it does kinda have a Depeche Mode vibe to it

Anyone's thoughts on their new batch of songs? Very synth influenced. Not bad but not sure it fits them. Very Cure inspired.

Only given them a quick listen, like you say, not bad.  It's hard to judge when you have an idea of what you would like to hear though, and it's not that......

It's different, but there are still 16 songs we haven't heard yet.  As Billy said this week, not everything on Siamese Dream sounds like Disarm.

Certainly expected a song titled "Wrath" to be a bit more in the vain of "Fuck You" or "XYU".
    Songs need more Jimmy.

This was great.. The first four minutes of this was really cool, brought me back to those albums in the 90's.

good time to be a pumpkins fan. wow. just watched a youtube video of billy announcing an upcoming announcement.

cyr, obviously, out in a few weeks. that is album two in a trilogy of the shiny and oh so bright series. already working on number 3.

mellon collie 25 anniversary. what i didn't know, is mellon collie and machina were parts one and two in a trilogy as well. they are also working on the 3rd part of that trilogy, which he said will also be another double album i think. then he wants to do a celebration tour of mellon collie. not full album shows, because, he said "albums are not meant to be heard live". um, the entire oceania tour was front to back the album in the first set, then hits in the second set. anyway, he wants it to be a celebration of that era.

he said they currently working on a total of 46 songs. that's nuts. how does an artist keep focused when working on so many different projects at once?

I'm sure I'll take flac for sayin this..., but the Pumpkins are one of few bands that can spit of volumes of songs and still retain quality. Love or hate Corgan and co., the band has produced some absolute gems of albums.

My favorite Pumpkins songs are usually the B-sides. Same applies to Zwan.

Glad to hear the Machina reissue is coming.

It always amazing me how many songs were left on the cutting room floor from the albums I live in the 90's.  Enough to spawn Pisces Iscariot, Aeroplane Flies High, The extended releases of those albums, extended release of aeroplane flies high, mashed potatoes, etc...

I found it's touch and go for me after Adore, but the fact he could just pump out content in the 90s and most of it was pretty good, was damn impressive.

Creative, dont own any of their music but it's unique and maybe my eardrums will devlop a taste for their style someday. No shame in digging them my fellow music freaks.

Anyone listen to the album yet? The songs I heard (like 3 of them were pretty decent) but hearing reviews of the album are mixed.
