First they offered to pay for me to fly up there (yeah right...the kids can look after themselves - no worries :mad: ) Then they said well why don't you wait a couple more weeks and then just stay home (seeing as though he's coming home on the 17th Sept; for Powderchair)....which means weeks of lost pay. It all just started getting too complicated :o
    The other thing is that any time he has off while he's on this job, he doesn't get paid and that could make a big difference in us getting our family caravan (which is the whole reasom for him going up there). So it wasn't like I was saying that the money is worth more than him coming home for a week, it's just that the thought of us finally being able to have lot's of holidays (which we NEVER have) is more important.....I just need to stop being a sook :)

    Don't be hard on yourself. I reckon you're being pretty strong. I reckon you'd have to look far and wide to find anybody cope as well as you have if they were put in the same situation. Keep your chin up, we'll all help you through it :)

    A family caravan eh?!?!? That'd sure cut down on accomodation costs in 2009 when PJ come back out :D

    Awwww....you're too sweet. I think the fact that I've got the 3 kids here...I have to put on a brave face for them...other wise....well....
    I was only saying to Glenn the other day, that you guys are the one's keeping me sane.....I love that I can come on here at any time and there's usually someone here to have a chat and a laugh with :D

    The caravan....prolly sounds a bit odd? The company Glenn works for (and has worked for for about 12 years now) are contractors at a local mine here and he's pretty much on call 24/7. He doesn't HAVE to go if they call him or need him to work out of normal hours, but he's hopeless and can't say no (so naturally, they don't even waste their time ringing anyone else, coz they know good ol' Glenn'll do it). So we've just never done holidays or even weekends away and with the kids getting older so quickly, I've just put my foot down and said we've got to start going on not only family holidays, but Glenn and Kylie holidays, too....also so Glenn stops working so much. The best/easiest way for us to do that would be if we have a caravan all set up and ready to just hook up and go ... even if it's just to head down to Margaret River for the weekend....it'll be a change of scenery :)

    So (geez I've got a good case of verbal diorhea tonight ) that's kind of our light at the end of the tunnel :D

    Yes I am....:D

    I wouldnt call it holidays .... just a few extra days off to me... actually, it is a holiday! 7 whole days without work!
    No time off for Andy though.... sucker!! Im heading to Vic on Frid and get back Monday night so its really just our normal days off this week, and its his Birthday on Wednesday... plus that day is the Anniversary of our first Kiss, although I did have to get him drunk!! :p
