Yeah he is.....but even when first found out what the pay was going to be, we still weren't going to do it. We've never been apart for more than a few days in the 17 years we've been together....so this is HUGE. But....then we decided that if we put the money towards a bus or caravan, so that we can have lot's of family getaways, it would be worth the sacrifice.....took us about a month to make out final decission.....it's FUCKEN hard, though

it seems so hard at the time.... and quite often is actually hard...
when he gets back, after all the excitment of him being home and your family being back together again, it will feel like he was away for a few weeks and hes back! Its weird.... speakin from my own experience anyhow, thats how it was for me

We have some good looking chicks come from Newcastle........Jennifer Hawkins, Tiffany Wood, Sarah Wynter, just to name a few. Pity they all leave Newcastle though

Yeah we just keep saying to think of being able to just take off for a weekend whenever possible. With his job (works at a mine 50 ks away from here) he works at least 5 1/2 days a week....sometimes 7 days a week....even if he does manage to get a weekend off, he never finds out until he finishes work on Friday and it's too late to book anywhere to get away.... so if we have a caravan all set up, it'll just be a case of hooking it onto the car and heading off. More QUALITY family time......and if the kids are at my folks house (they go up there for a weekend every now and then) we can take off and have some QUALITY "us" time
