Yeah, but it's the Northeast. People still can't get tickets sometimes when there are several shows in the area. There are tens of thousands who would drive in. And just the fact that it's at Yankee Stadium would be a draw for some.

    IMHO theyd fill it.
    Only concern is Hal Steinbrenner.
    They won't interfere with baseball,
its the # 1 prority up there in The Boogie Down Bronx.

Nor should they interrupt the baseball schedule. I'm not even a baseball fan, and I think that would be unacceptable. Sports teams don't work around concert schedules in their own venue. It's the other way around.

Not sure of concert capacities, but Yankee Stadium holds 50K for baseball while Wrigley holds 40K. Keep in mind, they didn't sell out PJ20 at Alpine which holds 37K with what was a special event in the band's history. Granted it's a bigger market in NYC than the midwest, but I think more people traveled the world over to go to PJ20 because of the significance than they would for a ballpark show.

Yankee Stadium? Biggest PJ market in the country. Would sell out very fast.

No. Getting too late I think. Maybe they're still working out the fine details with Wrigley before announcing the date(s?? Two nights? Where did that rumour come from??).

Alpine Valley is in the middle of nowhere. I think Yankee stadium would EASILY sell out, fast.

PS - it's really hard to quote you when there is a series of posts and you reply on top of all the quotes!

    Agreed.
Its nice if they can fit it to coincide with the road schedule and all,
but how far in advance do they make these schedules?
I mean, i am hearing September for this at Wrigley.

I remember a few years ago, when George Steinbrenner was still with us,
he absolutely refused Bruce Springsteen & E Street Band
( i think it was The Boss refusing The Boss )
to play the ballpark because they feared the infield would get torn up
and they were entering the playoffs.

Now we have rumors going around about Yankee Stadium and I saw Fenway in there. What's next, the Polo Grounds???? Or are they just going to tour every MLB ball park.

Wrigley would be 10x better than Yankee Stadium anyway.....
