Question - if we put in choices for say 4 shows, and somehow get picked for all 4, but only end up being able to attend 2 or 3, can we cancel the remaining shows? Will there be any grace period between drawing notification results and cards getting charged, or will our cards get charged for all 4 at the time of drawing, and charges non-refundable?
Also, one suggestion: Please set up drawings to occur at least 60 days before show date, with results/notifications sent no later than 30 days before show date, so folks can get reasonable prices on airfare, hotels, car rentals, etc. if they end up having to travel outside of their hometown.
THANKS!
i guess will get charged for all you win the draw..i dont think they will give that option,to cancel..
alot here talked about that option..
i think..2 months before tour almost always we get the presale..no?
for sure,europe-australia-south america-canada...i think the states too
Yeah, I kinda figured that whatever show(s) you enter for, you had better be prepared to pay for and attend. I guess it would be too difficult to put unwanted/unclaimed tickets back into another drawing just because we wanted a better shot at tickets by entering multiple choices. Maybe they could implement a feature where you could have a cutoff if you won multiple lotteries beyond a certain point? Or perhaps a refund period of 7 days, then release the tickets to a one-time general 10C sale, then any leftovers back to public sale. Lots of options to look at...

i think you missed the point...
lets say i could afford 2 shows, but there are 6 shows that i would be ok with attending. under the current system, i put in for 2, and don't get drawn.....now i'm fucked. but if you went with the credit system, i can put mark all 6 shows, but will only get the first two that are drawn. makes a ton of sense if you ask me.

This is a great idea. A lot of us are going to have make some pretty significant travel plans to attend more than one show this year, let alone one show. Let's just say that is the case, and we put in for 2 shows because that is our budget or most feasible....but don't get drawn for either - we're screwed. Sure, we can always go the TM route, but again, we would much rather have 10c tickets and not jump through more hoops if we alrady went through the process of making commitments and plans to attend certain shows through the 10c. Say we don't get drawn for the two shows we entered for, but were given credit to two others that we wouldn't mind attending, but in less demand. How you make that work or the process that is needed to make it happen, I don't know, but it's a thought.

Mathematically speaking, you have your best odds to get your first preference and you can weight it any way you want. At the same time, you still have a chance to win for all shows.
This removes the complaint that many believe if Uranus (or New York) is not your first choice, you are not going to win.
If Uranus my first choice, I have 25 "ping pong balls" to be selected.
If Uranus your 2nd priority, you might have put 8 "ping pong balls" to be selected.
While I have a better shot mathematically of winning the lottery, you still have a chance to go.

Assuming 10C tickets account for 10% why not ask TM to allow 10C members first crack at the remaining 90% before a true public sale? I am trying to see the downside for doing something like that. Either way, the tickets get sold. Does TM really care if they are selling a bunch of tickets to 10C members or the general public? I'd even be fine with adding a few bucks to the price (a few) to ensure I get tickets (this would cover TM's hassle of having to validate user IDs) . So the pecking order would be:
1. TC pre sale tickets
2. TM tickets for TC members at regular public rate
3. TM tickets for general public
I get it that TM is going to want to hold back some tickets/seats for whatever reason, but still if they make 50% of the arena available to TC members first, what harm is it to them?
At the end of the day, naturally I prefer 10C tickets, but my biggest fear is not getting any tickets at all, or having to make the choice of paying $300 a seat.
TM does it all the time with credit card companies like American Express or Citi members getting first crack at certain shows. It's usually about three days before it goes on sale to the general public.

aside from the new 10c lottery ticket system(no comment) does anyone have any idea why PJ don't set aside some sections of each venue and do the paperless ticket system
springsteen, mayer etc do this already
it's been proven to work. it allows people good chances at decent seats and totally eliminates transference from ticket buyer to ticket end user, therefore eliminating scalpers for those sections

Anyway, another idea is to make the lottery weighted.
In other words maybe each show you enter you get 10 points (or ping pong balls) to allocate yourself.
So let's say I enter to win for 4 shows, I have 40 ping pong balls that I can distribute myself.
So I do the following breakdown:
1. Uranus = 25 ping pong balls
2. Mars = 10 ping pong balls
3. Jupiter = 3 ping pong balls
4. Saturn = 2 ping pong balls
Now you bought two shows, so you get 20 ping pong balls. You do this breakdown:
1. Mars = 12 ping pong balls
2. Uranus = 8 ping pong balls
Mathematically speaking, you have your best odds to get your first preference and you can weight it any way you want. At the same time, you still have a chance to win for all shows.
