i am not surprised because all the pro gun people on amt are scouring the internet looking for every story like this one that they can find and startng a new thread about it, as if it is going to change someone's mind or something.
for every story like this one i can find 10 where the person with the gun misses or freezes and does not save anybody.
fact is, guns save lives by taking lives.
next justification please.

it is easy to talk big and bad on this forum. it is another thing to really act like you are saying you would act.
i would like to see all of you who think you are billy the kid or calamity jane carry a gun into a convenince store that is being robbed and see what you all would do about it. let's put your money where your mouths are.
fact is, sometimes even miliary people who have been trained to handle firearms freeze when under fire. what makes any of you think that you won't?

what is funny is the other few weeks back i pulled my axe out from under my bed. i was like..."what the fuck?" It's called personal responsibility....some have it some do not.....no one is looking for trouble....do you think this woman was looking for this.....and I am sure she did not want to shoot anyone especially in front of her children.....but mamma has to do what mamma has to do...
Um... Nobody's life was saved in that story. He didn't threaten to kill them and he wasn't armed.
He's broken it to places before and never killed anyone. I'm not defending him but she just shot and probably killed a guy.. So the gun didn't save a life, it ended one.

I said nothing like that at all, but I can see how you desperately would like to think that.
You said "guns save lives" and then offered a story where a burglar was shot and killed. Nobody's life was saved.
Of course she was totally within her rights to shoot him and I may have done the same thing if it were me. But saying this is proof that "Guns. Save. Lives." is "Really. Fucking. Offbase."
