Again, this story s just horrible. Lucky all of the people were able to escape this mad man with their lives. Hopefully they or the people who saw this won't be scarred for too long.
Wait a second... you heard about this news story... and your inital reaction was to snag an internet report about a knife attack... in CHINA... to respond to this horrific act?
Sick fucks are everywhere. I certainly didn't make it up.0 -

Oh, i agree... and i'm pretty sure you would not get an arguement from anyone here.
it's just that... to me... I thought it was kind of odd. Mostly because my initial reaction was NOT to post something to lessen the tragedy by saying these things happen elsewhere... mine was purely a reaction of horror, saddness, pain, disgust and anger all at the same time. My first thoughts were of the terror those kids must have gone through.

It's just as bad in that the intent of both of these sick fucks was the same. That's one of the issues in society that I never quite understood. Similar to someone who is convicted of attempted murder versus someone who is convicted of murder. Why does the person who tried to kill someone but was unsuccessful get a lighter sentence than someone who actually did murder someone. Just doesn't make sense to me. This is the reason why I don't really think either of these tragedies are less or more tragic than the other one.0 -
This could be the most ridiculous thread on the AMT. Well done!!!0

I call bullshit. You've been back and forth on a thread about gun control that you started, and then today, you post a story about a mass-knifing in China with the thread line "Just As Bad," and now you pretend you were simply posting the story, innocently, without political intentions? Sorry man, you make me laugh in other posts all the time, but I call bullshit.
If that is all you were doing, why didn't you title it differently?

Fair enough.
I just took it as part of who you are... rather, who you represent yourself as on this forum, based upon past messages, specifically the long, drawn out thread regarding the outlawing of guns. We know your stand on guns in America, if what you are saying is truely how you feel.
That is why people are probably having a reaction toy your, '20 children stabbed in China is just as bad as 20 children shot in America'. Because most of us don't live in China and aren't Chinese... we are Americans. What happens in America hits us harder, because we are Americans and can relate closer to Americans, than Chinese.
Well, to be truthful, i can only speak for myself and no one else here. When things hit home... it is always tougher on me.Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Go Jayhawks!

I titled it the way I did because I view it as just as bad as the tragedy in CT today. Would you prefer I titled "Sick fuck attempts to murder of 20 in china"?0 -

Actually... I would not have posted anything about the thing in China because i would not have found the story about China. within 3 minutes of hearing about the tragedy in Newtown, I would have focused everything on that story and not sought out a parallel story to compare the Newtown story with any other world event. As an American, i feel that Newtown appears in a vaccuum... at this moment in time. Give me time to grieve for the lost before countering a comparison on which incident was worse.
We will have time in the future to compare the shooting in Conneticut with the attack in China and cars and knives and baseball bats... but, tonight... at least, for this American.... it's all about the children of Newtown.Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! you know, this very argument was made by Sideshow Bob on an episode of the Simpsons.
