I'm not saying the other thread was timed right either, but let's not politicize this any more than it already will be. There are people that need our thoughts and prayers right now.

Why do you feel it necessary to call me names? I'm just pointing out another story that happened just today. Over 20 kids stabbed in China today by one person. That's some sad shit.

I agree that story is sad but again how many would have been killed if that man had a gun.

actually you know what don't answer that question cause it doesn't matter.

cling to your guns and keep thinking that they protect you.

Not trying to provoke anything. Just posting a pretty big news story and commenting on it. Pretty Rahul as well in my opioid just unnoticed by the US media.

This is why I mentioned in the other thread that shootings like this are NOT just an American symptom - there have been several attacks on young school children in Europe and Asia fairly recently (that does not detract at all, IMO, from how the shooting shows that stronger gun control is needed in the US). But I do think it's good to point out that this isn't "America once again showing that she's falling apart" as much as it is "look at the world."

but you didn't post the story as its own entity. you posted it with a thread that has an obvious agenda, titling it "just as bad", which translates "guns don't kill, people do". Unfortunately, this story actually contradicts that very message. The guy with the knife DID NOT kill anyone.

posting this on its own merit would have been a decent discussion. posting it with the intentions you had is disgusting.

Yeah, there is a clear agenda here, and it's clearly that "everything can kill people so gun control isn't necessary". Been there done that.

So again it's that much less disturbing because he had bad aim? If he had killed all thise people instead of injuring them would it be the knives fault or the person? If he had lit a building on fire and then locked the door is it the matches fault?

Suck fucks are everywhere. They are the issue. Finding these people and either getting them help or locking them up is the answer.

BTW for the record. I wasn't the only person or persons that posted this story on the boards. I actually learned about this from this board and I thank the member/members who posted it. Pretty much goes back to previous posts I've made here that the US in general really don't care about what goes on in other countries. If this had happened in the US it would have been all over the National and Global news just like the tragedy in CT.

There isn't anything wrong with the story. Again, I think it's a good story to post so that people don't go into fits of "America the fucked". It's just how you framed it, alongside your well-known position on gun control. Not hard to make assumptions as to the connotations of the thread.
