STL last night was fucking awesome! Matt Cameron is an absolute beast on the drums. Cornell's voice sounded great. Really lucky setlist for us! Blind Dogs and New Damage!! Both kicked fucking ass live! Gun was also super sludgy and heavy. Really cool night.

Got my ticket for Brixton sorted! Looking forward to seeing them at a decent venue after the disappointment of Hyde Park last year.

Hey friends outside of the US. You can get 2 tickets + meet & greet with Chris Cornell for USD 850. Proceeds to Chris and Vicky Cornell foundation: http://www.luminarylane.com/product/250 ... -and-greet

They did this for the US shows too but I don't know anyone who did it.

Too rich for your blood? The signed guitar picks are back in stock too: http://www.luminarylane.com/product/248 ... uitar-pick

Completely legit, Chris Cornell has posted about this on Facebook/Twitter. And I got a pick and a set list earlier this year, customer service at Luminary Lane is top notch :)

You won't be disappointed. They were awesome at Shepherd's Bush last year and the Apollo is a perfect venue for them.

Second time for me after HRC last year but i'm looking forward to see them indoor and in a smaller venue. I've only seen Eddie at the Apollo and it will be interesting to see what it is like for general admission but I liked the venue. HRC was good but I have a feeling this will top it.

    Went to Houston show last night, some thoughts;

sound was not great although it appeared to improve after 5-6 songs. chris had some pitch issues for first couple of songs and imo warmed up about a 1/3 of way into the set.

ben shepard, wtf? this guy just screams 'bad vibes'. he throws his bass into the air and kicks down an amp stack, someone has to find that on youtube, what an ahole.

very little to zero interaction btwn band members, do these guys even like each other?

chris seemed pleasant and did some crowd pumping but the upper tier (seated section) audience were pretty lame, sitting through a majority of the set.

GA crowd towards front were pretty active, at middle and back, more of an LA crowd feel.

the set list turned really good imo, about 1/2 way through and was a solid 25 song night. little too much superunknown for my taste.

I actually prefer soundgarden's studio work over PJ, but in terms of concert experience, PJ kills em.

final note, matt fucking cameron, what a beast!

Ben seems to get pissed off a lot. At one of the NYC shows, he threw his mike stand off the side of the stage, like he was mad at it or something and I was like, ok, guess Ben's not singing anymore!

That's why I prefer to stand on Kim's side :) Don't really need to see Ben (no offense to Ben fans). Less drama.

The only time Ben seemed pissed off at the Wallingford show was when he threw his bass to the ground and told the crowd in the GA behind us to stop moshing. He shook his head no. All of that was trumped when he gave his bass to the guy next to me early in the show.

Like Suicide sounded Good. Really enjoyed the show as it felt like an old 90 club vibe show. True sound got better as show went on. Kinda crazy to see Ben flip out during the end of Jesus (2nd song), No idea what that was about. Really enjoyed the songs we got. 8-)

My guess is sound issues, bass tech issues. I was in the balcony right in front of him, and was like WTF?? Saw him launch his bass backwards on to the stage floor, knock over an amp(s), and then knock over the row of water bottles. I was like ughhhhhh. I should have filmed it, but was just trying to watch the show. I very rarely film songs at shows.

I was there and you brought it Jeff! If only you could have talked CC into a couple more songs. What a cool oportunity for you, and the fact it's on youtube makes you a celebrity! And the original rumor going around was that you were Jeff Ament. I thought I had missed something!

  • Hope you have an amazing night.... I'm hoping to find tickets somewhere without having to pay tout rates, fingers crossed! :)
  • Can't make that 1 :( , sounds crazy but my other half has work and has to book his holiday up to 18 months in advance... if he throws a sicky they phone about 3 times that day which is a nightmare! PJ is worth a sicky, maybe even QOTSA and with rumours that PJ will tour from the end of the year he needs to save his sick days as when they next tour we're going to do a couple of dates!!
