With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata

Winter started out well here in the Sierra Foothills, but if the forecast hold true, we're looking at least a 20 day dry spell.  We've already fallen behind for rain.  Hoping for a wet February through April!
@brianlux you have explained, you are already behind for rain.  We are ahead for rain here so wishing for warmer drier spells.

Flash back to my high school years! My girlfriend at the time and her sisters must have created a permanent hole in the ozone layer above their house from all of the hairspray that held up their do's.

my sister and her friends too. one of them sported a dome. like, it was a bloody mushroom on her head. it was ridiculous.

I myself had a sportin' mullet in my high school years. then grew it out to look like the rest of the grungies of the day. but sadly, now I'm a fat michael stipe.

Yeah, often in either January or February we get these extended periods with a high pressure system that block any chance of rain.  Happens most winters and can last a few weeks or even a month.  One year, a while back, we got no rain for the whole month of February.  Still no rain on the forecast so this stretch could be three weeks or longer.  Not unheard of, but not great.  Keeping my fingers crossed for rain later in the month!

You must be in a rainier location.  I hope you get your warmer drier spell.

It's always raining in England.  Perhaps a witch doctor could perform a raindance near you.

Raindance!  Now there's an idea I have not yet tried.  It might come down to that.
