    Yes - they lifted the evacuation earlier today so all of our neighbors are allowed back home. I haven't gone out yet, but it looks like the road is clear. Hopefully they'll strengthen the dam. We saw police and firetrucks over there earlier in the day, but had no idea what they were doing.

    Thank you! I'm an hour from work, which is only 10 miles from Atlantic City. We're ok here. I'm more worried about my co-workers and students who live much closer to the coast. Most of them were evacuated from the homes. I've heard from a few that are doing ok.

    without internet and power, i have been keeping them in the loop with any updates bergen county is sending out. i know more about what is going on in their town all the way in chicago than they do from their house.

    Haven't heard from Mr. Unlost since yesterday. He deployed with FEMA (urban search and rescue system) before dawn on Sunday, and was in Virginia and thinking they were heading to Atlantic City.

    Then, this afternoon, a two-word text: "In Queens."
