but that analogy is dumb and certainly doesn't fit the responsibility we expect from our
President to fix the problems at hand when they come into office. The 5.5 trillion
add'l debt is one that is tough to sweep under the carpet.
Again..... he had to do that because of wall street and bush. I'm confident that he did not want to run up the debt but it was necessary to save the USA. Think about it.

I think POD made a great analogy BTW.
I believe he thought it was the best move at the time but myself and half the country feel he was wrong.

Yes, that's an interesting observation. Redefining the meaning of troll with every post. Although I will admit my profile pic is of the very creepy variety.

so everyone is a troll until they have a certain number of posts? or is just people who come into a thread, add nothing to the subject, and just call someone a troll?

I have noticed a lot of games since venturing to AMT. A big one is "let's you and him fight" - someone will start a thread on some intriguing, shit-stirring topic and then disappear while everyone battles it out. That seems to be a popular one lately. There's also "Now I've got you, you SOB" - where a minor disagreement gets totally blown out of proportion because of some minor semantic issue...and also "Why does this always happen to me?" - where the same conflict gets played on repeat. There's a few more I've noticed...but still find it hard not to get pulled into them. I guess that's why they're timeless
 My fave is definitely "Now I've got you, you SOB." For sure the most powerful move as far as derailing or thread locking potential goes.

It troubles me that a serious topic gets so derailed (and I'm not talking about the input from the typical narcisistic posts from the individual that only cares about their very narrow but all encompassing views)
Back on topic

A non-racist, Jewish version of the Bradley effect -- when voters tell pollsters they are undecided or likely to vote for a black candidate, while on election day they actually vote for the white candidate -- is in play in this election.

Another reason for the worry.

Believe in America

WOOT!

and this is different from four years ago when pundits were saying exactly the same thing four years ago.

I'm sure.

And you can point us to a "study'" or a "poll" by someone other than Fox "news" or the Family Research Counsel or Breitbart or something, right?

I mean.. you're saying that with such assuredness, I'm sure you're right. But you know... Ronald Reagan said "trust buy verify."

So... you got a link?

yea but you can't call a guy a troll because of his opinion,I mean if that's the case we are all trolls.

Are you serious? You deny the fact that you have been gently bashing Obama and his supporters for the better part of a month now. You say you're part blue.

Then you say, "You blues sure take care of that..."

'You blues' would suggest that you are not part... no?

You're not undecided- you've known all along. Get serious.

You mentioned in one of your responses to me that I made a lot of assumptions with regards to you and your values. I ask you... when you less than boldly declare exactly where you are at... what else is one to do but make qualified assumptions based on what you express?
Do you listen?

I'm a purple, I have said many times.
A blue purple on social issues, a red purple on governments role.
So no I am not with the blues and yes the blues bash the red relentlessly
and the purples too as you are doing.

Qualified assumptions :? come on you were down right insulting, insinuating racial bias,
lies, and being well off but not wanting to give to help my country :wtf:
You know nothing about me and come off so smug and it shows exactly how biased you are
and negative, seems common with a certain group here.

As far as my vote
I'm leaning towards our President gets four more, this has been how I have leaned
since the beginning but remain undecided as I know I should give Romney my vote,
our President does not deserve it.

But again comes down to the basics that most no one seems to want to understand here...
the reasons I have sighted time and again....
funny how that works. Yet so many claim to be so understanding :fp:
I swear some don't know the meaning and certainly like to big talk and not listen.

I never think it's a joke to make fun of other people

that's not real humor to me, like Don Rickles shit, it's underhanded
but if you find that funny maybe you like fat people jokes too
or minority jokes or those directed at the mentally challenged
that's just not my cup of tea.
I'm not sure...but appears he's going to be running a focus group

I'm pretty sure Anita Clue and Justin D. Cisive are not real people  I don't know for sure...just a guess...

It's ok to laugh once in a while. Really, it's ok ;)
not at another group of people ...
not for me at least I like real humor not at the expense of someone's feeling...
but you go ahead if it makes you happy right?

What you need to understand about Internet Republican types is that they love to play the game of "stop hitting yourself."

They Support laws that take away the rights and freedoms of others... use their religion as their weapon of choice, and then when you stand up for yourself, they become blubbering babies shrieking about "religious bigots" and "intolerance."

They start threads like this one, taunting, name-calling, rude, bullying.. and the moment anyone talks back to them, they flare into their phony indignation about how "the dims" or "the blues" are the REAL bullies and the REAL intolerant ones since we won't allow them the "religious freedom" to bulldoze over our families.

(and we all know that for the vast majority of them, religion is a total crock of shit. They don't believe in any God and just use that as an excuse.)

I forget whom, but one person here called me a "racist" because I made a sarcastic joke about Georgia. Apparently that person thinks "Georgia" is a race unto itself. They love to play the victim while they pat each other on the back for attacking anyone else.

Yes some can be prejudice against people who live in Georgia ...
its racism against a region of people based on how they vote, what they believe.
It is narrow-minded thinking that generalizes and categorizes people
of an entire region to fit in a box of those one hates.

Its nothing new,
people who are prone to be prejudice from around the country
do it all the time to those in the South.

Unfortunately some hate a lot. Too bad for them. We pity
those who feel this way, their loss.
Its all we can do and show them to understand love and accept
others is how we learn.

Its clear they need to learn much because they treat others the same way they hate to be treated :fp:

Again 35 years in Wisconsin not from Georgia but this is just so not cool
wherever you live, whatever your race, your religion, your sexual preference.
Just plain wrong.

prejudice

An adverse judgment or opinion formed beforehand or without knowledge or examination of the facts.
A preconceived preference or idea.
The act or state of holding unreasonable preconceived judgments or convictions.
Irrational suspicion or hatred of a particular group, race, or religion, ETC
Detriment or injury caused to a person by the preconceived, unfavorable conviction of another or others.
