I want someone, ANYONE, who thinks the state of the US economy is Obama's direct fault, to break down exactly how the economy got to where it is today. Cause and effect, please. Not just "Obama did with his bailouts and ridiculous spending". Actual reasons of why that spending occurred and why the bailouts happened, if it could have been avoided, and what the alternative could/should have been.

    Thank you.

still no one wants to answer this one?
I didn't see your question and there are fabulous economic stars in this forum...
blow your socks of intelligent, common sense, wish they were my leader people...
no not you or me

For me our President is spending too much money.

under his watch my country is not growing stronger it is going further in debt
with more people becoming dependent then independent.

maybe broaden your mind a bit.

Well it's very clear you need to broaden your own mind. Obvious, in fact.

You get a big kick out of complaining that people are racist against you because you live in Georgia and the poor downtrodden Georgian race you belong to, even though - as you put it "I'm from Wisconsin, dummy."

But what about the right to laugh at people who think Georgia is a race? What about them? I mean... You need to open your heart and see that people need to laugh at people who don't understand what words mean.

You really need to see things from another perspective.

but you go ahead if it makes you happy right?

Then I'm going to assume that you have never liked a single comedian... probably ever.
    More assumptions... :fp:

I like real comedians but my favorite of all time is Frank Groshin,
since I was little. He is gone now. Very creative gentleman.

    I don't like swearing, I don't like victimizing others,
I love storytelling and humor that originates from everyday life.
I like jest not derogatory insults ... go figure.

    Again off topic back on...

So I think you mentioned you are voting libertarian
do you think this is a wasted vote?

Do you think the President has it in the bag?

Are you worried about the tight race?

And how about those who claim to be tolerant of others then profusely judge
as a matter of general course?

Uh... Ok... Do you understand what the word "race" means?
yes of course I do, you understand what prejudice means?
    of course you do.

Maybe you could broaden the meaning of racism to include regions of people
because your heart has certainly shown how you feel.

And again understanding, love and acceptance right?
If we all try that we wouldn't be discussing this.

The point is, of course you have treated an entire state of people with disrespect.
That is prejudicial behavior and no different than being prejudice towards a race.
But you deflect because of words chosen when your heart shows exactly what you are doing
what you live with... hate. Its sad really.

what color should I use for you?

Maybe green for Canadians as they do not vote? or orange?

I love color don't you? My bread and butter is color :D

Wow... getting a bit surreal here... green? Orange? Bread and butter? :?

OK... then YOU need to stop being RACIST against people who know what WORDS mean.

Will you PLEASE think about the People who know what words mean?

It is you who are prejudice not me. Intolerant of the religious,
    of Republicans and entire states...
wait maybe even regions if the truth be known  Look out Alabama, Tennessee,
Arkansas, Texas, Virginia, Kentucky, North and South Carolina, not Florida too I hope.
Wow that is a lot of people to hate.
How incredibly foolish that is most especially since your soapbox is to point a finger
at those who are intolerant of gays. Do you see any irony here? :?

I thought it was a great thread. It speaks to hypocrisy and irony and the closing campaign
    margins.

    Woot!

the Democrats don't want to talk about that though.

Well that's just it...I mean a provocative title like that will attract a lot of attention...but little serious commentary. It derails from the onset by design.

Exactly- it was meant to provoke from the very start. I would challenge the OP to rewrite the thread title and initial post if a serious discussion is the intent. Otherwise, we just end up with ongoing banter that very likely only leads to locking the thread.

Oh puh-lease. :fp: You say stuff at the expense if other people's feelings all the time. We are not oblivious to your careful (but not subtle) passive-aggressiveness; just immune. Meanwhile, CBG was just being tongue in cheek and you (passive-aggressively) try and attack her character for it (unsuccessfully). You pull this trick all the time with people - in just aboit every thread you involve yourself in. Not that she needs any defending; I just can't stand the hypocrisy or the idea that you might think we don't ALL see it for what it is.

Btw, nothing you actually say outside of ”i haven't decided yet" suggests that you haven't decided.

Um.... back on track, and in reference to your post about the race being even and who would haven thunk it... I think everybody? Was this race not predicted to be a close one from the beginning? I don't think there is a single red or blue out there who has ever felt comfortable predicting the put me of this election (just what they hope the outcome will be). Given the voter intimidation tactics from the right, though, we should hope it's not TOO close, for reasons we already witnessed a couple of elections ago.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata

It's very easy to see. I am so stoked for the next American century! Driving I have had multiple people (yes, of course one was in a Prius) give me the finger just because I have a MITT sticker on my heavy. Love it. They scared, they mad, they intolerant.
“Have you been watching the Obama campaign lately?” the Republican presidential candidate asked the crowd, including motorcycle enthusiasts in town for the annual ‘Biketoberfest’ event. “They have no agenda for the future, no agenda for America, no agenda for a second term”
“It’s a good thing they won’t have a second term,” Romney continued to applause. “We have big ideas, bold ideas, a strong agenda. We are going to get America working again and that’s why you’re going to help elect the two of us.”

    Believe in America

    Emoticon

    Woot!

In sticking to the original topic:

Coming out of the worst 8 years of ap resident this country may have ever seen, Obama may have not been perfect but he has done a good job and he gets my vote for seeing what he can do in 4 more years.

I love the irony from Romney's statement. He and Ryan have absolutely NO clear agenda or policies, and he's trying to call out the president for having no future agenda? Alright. the president has a clear path ahead of him, and we can tell what his plan is because he actually, you know, has been the president for 4 years and his policies are right out in the open for everyone to see.

Aside from overreacting and politicizing international conflicts for his own campaign, what it Romney's foreign policy?

Aside from wanting to distance himself from the very health plan he helped enact in MA (which is doing quite well), how exactly is Romney planning on shutting down Obama and, more importantly, what is his oh so brilliant alternative?

Aside from not taking the wealthy as much as they should, and burdening the middle class, how is Romney planning on addressing the debt crisis?

This is a man who wants to cut funding to Planned Parenthood. This is a man who want to make decisions based on religious morals. This is a man who is not as different from Bush as he would like us all to believe. This is a man with NO clear policies we can judge at this point. when Obama make the little jab in the last debate about how Romney would never sign a deal without reading the details first....it was a brilliant analogy.

Romney is a panderer and has ALWAYS said what he thinks the public wants to hear so he gets elected. This is not a man of character. This is a man with no spine who manipulates the facts for his own political gains.

So no, I am not worried.
