So given the tenor of your statement is that it might help if middle class families didn't need two incomes to survive, and you're voting for someone whose somewhat non-existent tax plan would presumably tax these families more therefore meaning they need to work more and stay away from home?

Do any of you have kids. What is wrong with being home with the kids. Women know how hard it is to get off from their job in time to pick up kids from school or daycare, fix dinner, do home work, give baths, maybe get some house cleaning done before bed. Then get to bed at a decent hour just to get the kids up and ready, feed the kids, get to work on time and start all over again. It's very exhausting. I know men do these things also and they deserve the same rights, but it usually falls on the woman about 90 percent of the time. Being we have such a high percentage of fathers not even living in the home. Another reason parents are not involved at the schools is they don't have the time. Employers don't always care if you have to leave to take care of the kids.
The worst part about is for me was the homework. Helping with home work when I was mentally and physicality exhausted sucked. My kids are grown now but I had to pick up my granddaughter from school (after a nine hour day at work) because her parents could not get off on time. I did the dinner, bath and home work. The amount of homework 2nd 3rd and 4th graders have is over whelming. The days she did not have homework I think I was happier about it than she was.
I ask what is wrong with taking this in to consideration when jobs are discussed? Kids deserve to have there parents in there lives they deserve the supervision they need (especially teenagers). Parent should not have to rely on teachers or sitters. I feel this is why the kids today doing shit WE would not even dream of doing today.
i have kids. but the point isnt about it being wrong in taking caring for children into consideration...its great. tis just that romney spoke only of giving women(not men) flexibility so they can have the opportunities they might otherwise miss out on. i just about gagged on my tea when he said it. i waited for him to mention daddies too... but not surprisingly he didnt. tho tbh i mightve been rendered deaf from the brilliance of his personality and compassion that im sure his goodly wife washed and ironed for him just before the debate. i guess we women create those babies through parthogenesis. we are so damn marvellous!!!!
ooh ooh i loved when romney basically said the children of illegals could earn their right to be part of the american dream* by doing miltary service.who else loved that??? :roll:

It's not as meaningful as it should be, but it's possibly the most meaningful part of the campaign process.

I'm not sure if, at this point, there are actually undecided voters or those who SAY they're undecided because of the shit they anticipate getting from those who disagree...or just feel it's no one's business but their own.

For me, the debates reflect the participants' good (or not) sportsmanship, their ability to keep calm under pressure, to debate the issue and not tear down their opponent in the process, to present themselves as the leader they claim to be or want to be - and not in the "image" sense, either.
