  • it was cool when Paul Ryan said that "unelected judges" shouldn't ever decide about abortion.

A total lie, of course... Republicans have been working to get Roe V Wade to the Supreme Court for ages.

But it was still funny to see him try that shit. :fp:

Debates are important to crack the caricatures the media-academia-entertainment establishment have built up around the candidates.

Romney showed he was a man capable of being president.

Going in, I thought Biden was just an oaf, I'm glad he clarified for me that he's actually an ass.

Biden was annoying, disrespectful, and rambling most of the time. It was like watching Maury or Springer just annoying trying to listen to someone when someone else is talking over them. I do think Martha Raddatz should have stopped Biden from talking over Ryan so much. Seemed to me she dug at Ryan more. She never asked Biden to explain specifics as she did to Ryan. Hopefully Romney and Ryan can have a friend of there's mediate the next debate. :o

Not sure what debate some of you were watching but Ryan got his ass handed to him. Biden was disrespectful with the facial expressions, laughter and interruptions but, really, if Ryan can't do a better job than to keep repeating his talking points over and over again without elaboration or clarification then I would have been inclined to do the same thing. In some respects, I felt like Obama should have done the same thing to Romney but I believe that he was playing it safe. Let Biden nail these guys while Obama tries to rise above the fray. Not saying that it worked out well for him but I think that was the mentality that he had going in to the first debate. I will be interested to see the next presidential debate.
Are we getting something out of this all-encompassing trip?

    Why does Biden keep laughing?
    Man that was dumb...
    what was he doing?

I couldn't help but think of SNL this week... it's gonna be great...
Biden with those silly faces and unprofessional rude laughing
and Ryan drinking water a lot

It was Ryans first time on a national debate and to go up against Biden
who has been in politics too long ;)
I bet Ryan was nervous but he did great.

I couldn't help but think who do we have in the White House?

  • How many times did Mit Romney interrupt the moderator in the presidential debate???

Funny how you republican supporters think it's ok when it's your boy but it's rude and disrespectful when its a democrat. Hypocrite much??

When put through the fact checker I think you'll find Bidens points were more factually accurate than Ryans...ergo I have Biden wiping the floor with Ryan.

Then again I'm Canadian and have access to more than just fox tv, msnbc and cnn...what do I know??

I cannot see how any side can say one side won. There were strong points on both sides.

Yeah, that's exactly what the hacks on Fox News, Michael Steel and... um... nobody else is saying.

Everyone else is talking about how Paul Ryan thought he could lie about everything and Joe Biden smacked his ass down.

If you can't see how any side won, you either weren't watching or your nose just grew a quarter inch.

(Michael Steele's excuse is "we didn't prepare Paul for Joe laughing at him." I'm not making that up. "The laughter certainly was not something that we expected," Mitt Romney campaign token Michael Steel told Yahoo News after the debate.)

DUde you have to try and get by your bias just a little. CNN had polls showing Ryan winning as well, not just Fox news. You must watch that ever so moderate MSNBC. What a fucking joke are they? How come no one ever calls them on their bullshit? They are just as bad as Fox News...every bit.

My honest opinion... both guys lost and we lost the most.

I'm not sure there is a more classless guy out there then the idiot that is Joe Biden.

Ryan came across as a book nerd trying to tell us how the real world works. Not very effective.

Biden slammed Ryan's ass WWF style.. He was arrogant yes but it's about time a democrat came out and slammed the republicans for what they stand for.

:lol::lol: you're joking right ? you have zero ground to stand on with a out in right field comment like that :?

here's an e-mail from Bidden that went out before the debate...

I told Barack I have one mission tonight: tell the truth and stand up for what we believe in.

Our side is always going to win when we do that.

But, G, take a look at what we're up against this week:

-- It's one of the last four weeks we have remaining.
-- This week alone, the other side is spending nearly $37 million on Mitt Romney's behalf in eight battleground states.
-- The resources we have in the bank at midnight tomorrow will determine how big we can go for our final push.

It's urgent that everyone gets on board -- and fast. That means you, and that means now. Please don't wait any longer.

Yet, if Paul Ryan behaved the same way you'd have a different story to tell.

Democrats have no interest in a strong middle class, they only have interest in keeping people in low income, dependent on the government with the eternal promise of being middle class without any results.

And the republicans just need to get the hell out of people's personal lives.

I agree that the dem's aren't as user friendly as they say they are but no one wants to keep people in poverty or dependent on government. Obama hasn't done anything, said anything or made any policies that would it easier to become dependent.. the system needs fixing I agree. The idea that people are dependent on government almost sounds like people think the poor should just get out of bed and find a job.. like it's that easy. the discrimination towards the not so well is terrible.

I said all along that in the debates you have to be able to aggressively go after your opponent and that's what Romney and Biden did. Ryan lied so much that is was almost as easy as the Palin debate. Honestly Biden would be a good president I think.

#1) I didn't say that. I said the government has created a situation to keep them where they are. Now, some are certainly lazy and don't even try. That is a fact. I have no idea what %, but it is a fact. But the others, it's difficult with the system in place to give up certain benefits to take a non-full time job, etc. It needs a massive overhaul.

#2) I honestly think Joe Biden would be an epic failure as a president. I would see him as worse then you see W I imagine. The only cool thing would be I'd probably get to see someone like Putin punch Joe in the face, so maybe it'd be worth it.

12 times in 90 minutes from what I've been able to find.

I found a video of all the interruptions. I'm not endorsing the site. just posting the video.

Cincybearcat - so you're saying if the shoe was on the other foot YOU wouldn't be saying the same thing as me??? BULLSHIT.

The right wing crap I've been reading is saying "yes Romney interrupted the moderator but with good reason".
So did Biden with Ryan - because Ryan was spouting LIES and total BULLSHIT!
In fact Biden almost came right out and told him to stop lying and almost called Ryans Rhetoric bullshit but had the smarts to censor himself on both occasions thankfully.

Biden "Would you just stop.....being candid" You KNOW he was about to say stop lying but stopped himself just in time.

I realize Obama spoke a little more than Romney in their debate but I'll be the first to admit that Romney did better in the debate even if he did lie through a lot of it. Obama was too nice...he shoulda been on the attack more IMO.
