Maybe give us some insight as to how bad her decision making when drunk is. Because if you're comparing her saying something offensive or stupid when drunk to her ability to remain faithful, that is an unfair comparison.
What reason has she ever given you to feel the way you do? Honestly man, I would just like to say again: trust your wife. I think THAT speaks volumes, if you show her that you trust her. If you openly place your trust in someones (especially your wife's) hands, they'll most likely respect that.
Perhaps she's worried that you might take the opportunity away from her to do something equally unfaithful...
If you say you "trust your wife", then trust your wife. Give her the opportunity to prove to you that your trust is safe.
If you're seriously that bothered by it though, why not sincerely come to your wife about your concerns... you never know, she might be really understanding.

I assume the wife went to the party, he was upset about it, she sensed it, still decided to have a good time (since Debbie Downers are no fun to hang out with). She came home, was all smiles, and he grilled her about the weekend and now, both are not happy campers.
