iOS 6: New Features, Comments, & iOS 6 for Dummies

It really isn't available for first generation iPads? Or am I missing something?

Regardless, I downloaded it for my iPhone today and so far I like it. What does everyone else think? And what are all the new things you've noticed? I'm sure there are some that I've missed.

    I don't like the new map app. It's definitely a down grade from google maps. The 3d city is cool, but useless and very limited.

    Yeah, I think that's pretty cool. I really hate it when people call or text when I'm trying to sleep. Half the time it's about stupid shit.

    you can set your alarm to a specific song. a nice little hidden feature.

    Siri sports is good and the bitch has improved a lot since ios 5

    Is it not worth upgrading because of the maps? I'm hearing terrible things.

    depends on your device. the maps for me haven't been that bad, but it needs improvement.

    Siri can do punctuation now, which is awesome! (Or could it already do that & I just never realized it?) She can also post to Facebook & there's various othe FB integration. And she can open apps.

    I'm liking the spoken turn-by-turn on the maps. And it recalculated pretty quickly when I took a different route.

    If you like and use google maps a lot, and can't find any other new update that really motivates you, I would stick with 5.

    New map app has no street view. It doesn't help you with public transportation maps and times, so if you live in the city it's a big minus.. Hopefully apple takes note and fixes it soon. The vector based map is nice, but google maps still looks prettier.

    May be missing some of the sparkle of Steve...I'm glad that they don't
    add to much with each update...otherwise I'm afraid the phone could become to bloated and older iPhones could really slow down or lag. It seems the best update comes in the off years, 3gs, 4gs, so I expect the next really big update will be next year. I like the update...and maps is just fine for me.

    just picked up the iphone 5 ... :oops:

    thing is absurdly light ...

    anyone know if i downloaded all my previous apps using a gmail account whether or not i can assign a different email address to that?

    I don't want to give up my unlimited data with Verizon which I will have to do when I upgrade...I think. :fp:

    I think this can happen but I'm not sure how. A quick internet search would probably work.

    only if you buy it with the discount..pay full retail and you stay on the unlimited plan.

    I believe you must long in with your apple id at apple.ca and and change your account detail their.
