To be honest I wanted France to knock Switzerland out but thought that Italy had played better over the course of the tournie...

They were rubbish after half time last night though

Yeah... well... not many great matches throughout the tournament (so I'm told) so no reason for the final to be different. I watched that game for obvious reasons but really didn't care who won. In a way, I feel sorry for Zidane - not a nice way to retire....

If the rumours are true about what was said, I totally agree with you - those kind of remarks have no place in sport (or anywhere else!).

I thought it was a bit disappointing too... well hosted, the Germans did a great job but the games didn't really live up to the expected standard, Argentina shot themselves in the foot, otherwise they'd have won it...
