excuse my ignorance but isnt the singer deed? who sings instead of him!

I went to see the Doors with Ian Astbury singing and it was the worlds greatest Tribute band night... i thought he did a great job... even dressed and stood like Jim did :)
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Think Billy Corgan is getting mentioned as at one AIC gig he got up and sang one song. They also had Kim Thayil get up ...

What is people's preference? FLAC or mp3?

I saw them at Wembley Arena in about 1989. I went without tickets but me and my mate got one outside from a tout for a pretty cheap pice - 3RD ROW! We of course made our way to the front, and at one point during the night, being very pissed, I decided to try and stage dive but was grabbed around the throat by a bouncer. Ian Astbury saw this, whilst he was singing Wild flower, and jumped down and 'ad a go at the bouncer, who let go of me. Astbury then got back on stage and proceeded to give me the "o.k?" nod, and made the wanker sign behind the bouncers back. It was on;y later when I turned around that I realised the amount of people behind me - I don't know how many Wembley Arena holds? I listened to the boot a few weeks later and noticed quite a long pause in the vocals during Wild Flower.
I don't know, you can't take me anywhere!

Well I guess it depends on the length of show. It starts at 7 pm and according to another thread the set lists they have been playing are quite short. Would hate ot book train though and have to miss last part of gig.

William DuVall or somebody is the singer by the way.
