LOL No I didn't know he once played for Barcelona ;) Not really up on European teams, just English ones :o

I know! I mean normally she's really good and she let me have the time off for Astoria at really short notice so I suppose I shouldn't complain :(
Just now I have the opportunity of going it would be nice. Plus I get to see all the cool Astoria people and have proper chats and drinks with them and it all goes to pieces!

Leaving is of course an option I am considering! :D

yeah, looking forward to meeting up with folks again... mainly because we all know each other a lot better now... well at least you and Dave know each other better ;)

The Astoria... as an experience was just so amazing... i put it up there alongside the day i discovered alchemy works with old socks.... and the time me and Angelina Jolie spent a weekend on her yacht with nothing but 8 bottles of red wine, cheesecake and a dvd porno called "Womb Raider"

i might have made two of my experiences up there... i say might... can you guess!!

yes... leaving was an option for me also... although i knew it would never come to that ... phew... missus would have killed me!!!

along with the theme of this thread earlier... i sometimes miss being single... i miss not being answerable to anyone except myself... basically if i was single i would be doing the Italian leg of this tour... but marriage, kids, job, etc... just means its a no-go :(

you can take some solace in the fact that you're going to see PJ quite a bit over the summer though... although i'm guessing you'll get to Dublin... you have to or Dave will be blubbing into my pints all night and i cant have my drinks watered down... in Scotland thats a crime :o

LOL. I think I know which one you made up ;)

Poor Dave. Although if the date turns out well, he shan't miss me at Dublin :( ;) Oh well, I'll get over it I suppose... :p

Yes leaving seems a good idea if something can't be arranged. I shall try my puppy dog pleading eyes I think. If not, I'll threaten to quit first and see if that helps :D

we've all been pretty silly with this... we could have all clubbed together and bought all the 1st leg shows between us ... made CD copies and emailed the artwork to each other... and for about £20 we ALL could have had the entire 1st leg boots

me and Dave both downloaded Tornrontootn 1 & 2... had we thought we could have just got one each and shared the files...

    all highly illegal of course..

oh i'm sure you will get over it ;);)

i dont envy Dave with the dating thing though... i hated it... i'm notoriously bad at reading women signals... i have no idea if things are going ok or shit or good!!

i've met most if not all of my girlfriends in pubs :o

the dating thing i would struggle with :(

Yeah I'm completely crap at dating. I'm not a particularly easy person to get to know really. If I like someone, like really like them, I tend to clam up for some reason.
If I'm not interested in that way, then I'll talk to them for hours!

No wonder I don't get dates :D:D Shall have to stick to my e-romances ;)

    Hi,
I had fun and games with a rar file of the astoria boot t'other day, turns out you have to unzip it. I used something called zipgenius, seemed to work OK.

ach.. it doesny matter.. PM answered that query!

Dave is a really nice bloke though... he let me hang from his shoulder during Astoria until the effort got too much for me and i took a breather at the end of Betterman!!!

i was disappointed with his lack of drinking prowess after the gig but he assures me that Dublin will be much better!!! ;)

nice wee thing from my wee-est girl today, shes only 2 and a haf... i got into the car after work and the girls were in the back... i pressed play on the car stereo and Wishlist came on... and wee Maisy shouted "daddy.. daddy... its Pearl Jam"

i have never been more proud :D

I hate having to unzip files. My computer never seems to want to do it, and it always says error :( So I avoid that option if at all possible.

‘as the astoria pub thing afterwards shows.... only the latter is true’

I’m pretty sure I woulda drank all night though if I didn’t have to watch you flirting all night :D . I thought it was funny the next day when you were saying how you walked her halfway across London to get back to her hotel saying ‘I wouldn’t let a girl walk around on her own’ and ya couldn’t even walk me out to the taxi :p

‘HHelen thinks 6 months constitutes enough of a commitment and then she shags someone else’

And what’s wrong with that? If ya look at 6 months as being HALF A YEAR  it kinda takes on a whole new meaning doesn’t it.

‘basically if i was single i would be doing the Italian leg of this tour’

    I bet ya would ;)

‘the dating thing i would struggle with’

It’s weird, I don’t think I’ve gone out with ANYONE I’ve met in a pub  . Most were from work – actually ALL of them were from work apart from the one at the rugby match which I thought was nice. If that worked out, it would have been the nicest story for the grandkids, second row from the front, two seats from halfway line at the ALL-BLACKS  . And then Shane Horgan telling him he’s a very lucky man :o . It almost seemed like it was meant to work out, lol, and we could invite the Irish rugby team to the wedding and Horgan would be the kids godfather and stuff like that… and maybe my little bit on the side.

‘If I like someone, like really like them, I tend to clam up for some reason.
If I'm not interested in that way, then I'll talk to them for hours’

Aw me too :o . What’s that about? I was in the canteen this morning and the engineer came in and my mind went completely blank and I was desperately trying to come up with something interesting to say... nothing! I mentioned the match but he didn't watch it. Oh what a match by the way - I'm soooooo happy for Frank Rijkaard, he was always my favourite player and the reason I ever liked football in the first place. The ref went and ruined it though - it woulda been a cracker otherwise.
