Thanks for the wallpaper on my iPhone. Matches perfectly w/ my "J-E-T-S suck suck suck" ringtone!
Game makes me a tad nervous in all honesty...
Lots at stake - Ryan the defensive whiz vs Tannehill the rook
If Reggie/Lane/Miller can run it effectively and we can make a few plays on D, we can pull this one out!
    GO MIAMI!!!

Only 3 hrs and 13 mins to kickoff!
No Dustin Keller for NYJ today!!!
The Fins have had a major problem stopping seam TE's for a LOOOONG time, this is good news for today's game...this could mean the Jets will rely heavily on three-receiver sets
I like our chances in this game
    RUN REGGIE RUN
Our running game should batter that run D - they are 27th in rushing yds allowed...
The Dolphins' top-ranked rushing defense (per carry) should easily hold Green to under 100 yds (94 vs Buff & 23 vs Pitt)...
Our secondary scares me a little bit vs The Jets - I really don't want to see them (NYJ) gatorade bath Sparano on our field today
    LET'S GO MIAMI!!!

Just an ugly-ass game from two mediocre teams. I mean I guess we ran the ball well and Tannehill got us down for a FG at the end of regulation so that's good. But fucking yuck to everything else about this game.

I am just totally fucking disgusted with that game. There's really not anything more to say. If Bush is gone we're totally screwed. They need to have him to ease the pressure onTannehill as he developes. Daniel Thomas just sucks. Can't stand that guy.

    Correct

cannot dispute anything you or Ledbetterman10 posted...

That all being said, if DC $$$ makes 1 FG we win...
    Philbin with bad TO management
    DC missing FGs
    Jimmy Wilson getting burnt
    Tannehill with a bad pick
plenty of ways to lose...We found a way for sure
Season ain't over by a long shot
Just gotta hope Bush doesn't have MCL/ACL issues
    F the Jets
We get them in a few more weeks, let's handle business then
AZ looks for real  Hopefully they overlook us

    POSITIVES!!!:
The Dolphins owned a 147-43 edge in rushing yards through three quarters and were averaging 4.5 yards per carry – and Bush did not play in the second half
Thomas and Miller combined for 104 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries in regulation for an average of 4.3 yards per carry...
Chris Clemons came up with his first interception of the season...
FB Lane picked up the 1st rushing touchdown of his career with 1:45 left in the third quarter from one yard out...
Dolphins DTs Soliai & Starks took control of the interior early and forced the Jets to run sweeps and play-action passes...allowing some additional pressure on Sanchez. …
Miami’s OL easily moved the Jets’ front seven and opening lanes for Bush,Thomas and Lane to run through. Bush had 50 rushing yards on just six carries in the first quarter… Miami’s secondary came up big when it needed to...
Running back Lamar Miller,Wide receiver Davone Bess, &Safety Chris Clemons all played great & the Fins OL battles the Jets D for 172 ground yards through four quarters.
Stay positive Fins Fans...today's loss sux balls, but we'll bounce back!!!

God I hate the Jets...I mean DISPISE...
Santonio Holmes, the QUITTER, talking shit after the game...
Clyde Gates - ex Phin bust - talking smack too...
LaRon Landry clapping after Reggie's injury...
Sparano going ballistic with the fist pump "F YEAH" after the FG...
But the worst now is this no talent Calvin Pace:

    Sickening.

As much as I hate Revis too, I hope his injury isn't a season ender. No place for this nonsense in this game, none - whatsoever.

The "Finsiders" this morning said its not horrific or season ending and he'll most likely miss games until wk 7 bye.
MRI is supposed to come out in 1 hr - Philbin is very cagey about injuries, I'd be surprised if he allows the true diagnosis to be aired.

Any reason that Dan Carpenter wouldn't be cut today?
    No way DC gets cut...
They said he was absolutely miserable in the lockerroom yesterday, and he took full accountability.
He'll make more of those than he misses, for sure.
I question some of the play calling leading to those kicks - big time. Sherman is very confusing to me right now. Lamar Miller and Daniel Thomas were both getting yds on the ground and Sherman thought it was a great idea to throw to Wilson's side of the field with Revis out.
Stupidity = calling a pass from their own 6-yard line especially since we were leading 10-3 at the time...
Remember, the Fins were up 17-10 to start the fourth thru regulation, Sherman called 18 passes out of the next 24 plays through the end of regulation. 18!!!
Passing was not working for us yesterday. Last 24 plays for us = 18 passes. Six runs. In a game we were winning - BY RUNNING THE BALL!!! That pisses me off more than anything - over 175 yds on the ground (with Reggie OUT), averaging 4.5 yds a carry - and you turn into 2004 Wannstache...
Bothersome. That's coaching. Along with the stupid icing...
Wish DC made those kicks, but I certainly don't blame him alone. 48 yds in the wet ain't automatic...We missed 2 kicks, sure... but bad coaching, Thomas' fumble, Tannehill's interception and WAY too many penalties sure helped us lose a winnable division game.
    JETS suck

What I took away from that game is we are simply better at losing than the Jets are. Not to take away from them...because they can suck with the best of them. But we're on a whole 'nother level. Cleveland Browns-level.

Miami never trailed at any point of the game until 2:52 was left to play
We are "simply better" at crushing the fanbases hearts and cheering spirits with deathblows of inept coaching...

    This is great news!!!
Now, if he has trouble practicing this week, I'd shelf him for the AZ game. That long flight will just make his knee swell. If this coaching staff can get Miller up to speed on blocking assignments, I vote for Reggie to get healthy and let Thomas & Miller handle the load.
We dodged a major bullet ...thank goodness he didn't go the route of Revis

So? Does that mean we played well? Or do the Jets suck? I'm not one for the "We out played them but..." or "IF this happened THEN that could have happened" kind of rhetoric. Yeah we were up 10-0 for a while. But isn't that when you have to extend your lead to 17-0 or 13-0? Hanging onto a small lead just doesn't work in this league. You have to keep scoring. A FG and horrible pick-6 later and we're tied.

I mean, it's nice to be able to enjoy a game until the end (rather than losses like week 1 when the game was over in the 2nd quarter). But the Jets' suckitude let us hang around. Sanchez's 2nd pick coming off the Thomas fumble was a total gift that only his dumb ass would throw. Then there was the time when he had a guy wide-open in the endzone but over-threw him. Like I said , we were the crappier of two crappy teams yesterday. Most teams would have beaten us by at least 10 if we played like we did yesterday against them. And most teams would beat the Jets by 10 if they played like they played yesterday.

But there were bright spots. We ran the ball well (not just Bush..but as a team). I was pleasantly surprised that we got down for a tying FG at the end of the 4th. Didn't like the playcalling to "settle" for the FG there no did I like how we didn't try to gain more yards for Carpenter's OT attempt. But whatever.

And yeah, our pass rush is pathetic. It was embarrassing to watch them get to Sanchez, GET STIFF-ARMED OFF by Sanchez like he's fucking Roethlisberger or something, and then him making a play. It was sad.

And now a rant against icing the kicker. And not just because it bit us in the ass yesterday. I hate this no matter who does it:

To ICE a player means to make him stand around and think about it (i.e. icing a free-throw shooter). That's fine and dandy and I have no problem with it. But over the past 5 or 6 years this stupid trend of calling time out a moment before the snap came into popularity. It's such a stupid lose/lose situation. Here's what can happen:

    1. The kicker makes the kick. "OMG YOU GUYS! Now he'll have to do it AGAIN! He'll never be able to make the SAME EXACT KICK AGAIN!" What the fuck type of logic is this? Even if he misses the 2nd one, it's not because of you icing him. It's just out of sheer dumb luck.

    2. The kicker misses the kick. Well good job, moron. Now you're giving him another chance. If the average kicker makes 70% of his kicks...and he just missed that last one....he's probably not gonna miss another. Or maybe he will. But if he does...IT'S NOT BECAUSE HE WAS "ICED"

The camera showed Rex Ryan laughing after the nullified blocked kick. And laugh he should. His shitty team that played like shit is getting out of Miami with a divisional road win.

My thoughts on the Phins v. Jets game:

First of, as we all know, that shoulda been the Phins win. As much as I would have love for them to win yesterday and avoid all the trash talk I got at work today...they played a heck of a game. This team is growing every week. They had back to back turnovers in this game...I started thinking of Week 1 v. Houston. This time Tannehill and the offense hung tough and battled back. The defense did the same thing when Thomas fumbled. They held tough and ended the Jets drive with a pick. I know I am sounding like all is well...but this team has played tough every week. I beleive that with the effort they put on yesterday..they will get more W's. That is just my thoughts.

Your thoughts are awesome! Fact of the matter is the D played well enough, despite Marshall getting schooled by Holmes, despite Carroll being a flag machine, despite no pass rush whatsover. Effort is there. The offense runs amazing - problem is they want to throw it and can't - Tannehill is fine, he'll have his bad throws and growing pains for sure - but coaching is the issue - play calling in particular. Tannehill put us in position with a great throw to Hartline at the end of reg...
This teams lacks WR firepower. Bess and Hartline are nice players - in fact I love that they are Fins and love their hearts, hands and professionalism. We are dreadful after them. Where's Neenee? Armstrong? Moore? In a passing league, lack of the WR firepower will hurt. Fasano is great too, but he runs with Wallaces "ankle weights". ALL of that being said, still glad Marshall is not on this team. Ocho Stinko too. I like Philbin. Stand up guy. His presser was legit today, he dodged nothing and admitted there's a few plays he'd like back.
We will win some games this year. We will lose some also. 8-8 is a success, especially coming off the last few years. This OL is excellent. Secondary blows. WR's after Bess & Hartline blow. If this coaching staff can maximize the talent we DO have and craft gameplans on things that WORK, we can definitely be in most games. Starts Sunday, on the road, vs a nasty defense in AZ. Pound the rock pound the rock pound the rock. Couple of throws to keep their D honest. I like our chances. I also think this is the week our pass rush goes from "being close" to getting sacks in bunches.

I agree with you with the pass rush. It looked like they had Sanchez a few times and he just got away. Cam Wake needs some help. I think Sean Smith is coming into his own. I like the hustle play that he got Kerley. I like Richard Marshall but he is a nickel corner and would be just that in most teams.

I would love to see Tannehill with a big time receiver. I think they have about $50 million to spend plus 9 draft picks for 2013. If this is the staff that leads us to the promised land...which I think they are... I beleive that next year will be crucial. (Why is it called the promised land when us Phins Fans havent been there). Bess and Hartline a good receiver but they dont scare anyone like Megatron. I would also like to see an 8-8 or 9-7 season. I think it would be great.

Agreed. Another direct shot to the nuts and then a kick to the face while we are bent over. That kick not from Dan Carpenter.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

That was a tough loss but there were alot of positives. Tanehill continues to develop and the QB search is over. Hartline and Bess had outstanding games and will continue to grow with Tanehill. The defensive line also had an awesome game. This team will learn to win these close games. Now for the bad...the Phins need another corner. Once the the defensive line was out of gas and unable to provide a pass rush...Kolb was able to connect even though Fitzgerald was held in check. On the other side of the ball...the Phins need a true No. 1 receiver to go along with Hartline and Bess as two and three. I would like to also see them pick up a TE and keep Fasano as the second TE. All said I still feel this team will be an 8-8 or 9-7 team. The one great thing about this team is that they are leaving everything out in the field and giving a 110%. They are buying what Philbin and the coaching staff is selling and that will lead to wins.

    Agreed
This was a very painful loss yesterday. To get career days out of your DE, CB, QB and WR and come up on the losing end is tough.
I love our teams grit, moxie and toughness.
I despise this teams secondary. They flat out suck outside of Smith. Suck.Suck.Suck. Marshall & Carroll can't cover properly - their technique is completely jacked up. Anyone watching our 4 gms so far are licking their chops - don't be surprised if Andy Dalton has a field day on Sunday.
This loss sucks. I agree with the team 110% buying into what Philbin and staff are teaching and emphasizing. However, another heartbreaking OT loss could disrupt the morale of the locker-room, and frankly there are not enough leaders on both sides of the ball to keep it positive and uplifting.
The plane ride home was like a morgue apparently, and that's a shame because ALOT of good came out of this game. 8-8 still is very likely. Big division games still on tap - all it takes is a couple solid wins (preferably in a row) to right this thing, but right now this team was kicked in the nutsack 2 wks in a row...
Staying positive, but really bummed today.
