    Meaningful Football in December. This team has a bright future ahead. Tannehill is for real. This kid is growing up fast. I know the future is bright and I am going to say it right now a Super Bowl is the near future is not a dream but I think it will be a reality. I got by bottle ready. GO DOLPHINS!!!!

    Win out and we're in!

    That's right. I was disappointed to see the Ravens beat the Lions last night. Thought that would mean we'd have to win out and have a Ravens loss. But that's not the case. If the Ravens win out, they'll win the AFC North over the Bengals and we'd have the tie-breaker over the Bengals if we finished tied with them. So beat the Bills and the Jets and it's on to the playoffs. Certainly anything can happen and I'm not selling them short....but I can't think of two opponents I'd prefer over the Bills and the Jets.

    Actually we can clinch the wildcard this week with a win and losses by the Bengals and Ravens and can win the division with two wins and two NE losses.

    I know its highly unlikely that NE goes into a 3 game losing skid and the Dolphins win the division. But just imagining that scenario and considering where the Dolphins were a little over a month ago with the losing skid and bully-gate. Coach Philbin and his staff has done a heck of a job with this team considering all the distractions it had to endure. I feel like the ship is turning around.

    In my mind, facing the Bills and Jets in must win late December meaningful games is exactly what this Franchise needs to prove to it-selves, its fan-base and the rest of the league that this ain't yer'ol Fins.     Philbin not only has a chance to put his stamp on this team, but imagine the belief these guys are going to have in him should they execute, prepare and win these two VERY TOUGH football games.

    4 game losing streak, locker-room upheaval, NFL investigation, last years leadership council jettisoned...think about what this man and this team have overcome...
    And as great as Sundays home win vs. the Pats was (and still is today :lol: ),it will mean NOTHING if we can't go on the road and handle business against a Bills team that would love nothing more than to take the sweep from us this year. The next 2 defenses (Bills and Jets) both make me uneasy. They are both well coached and have not quit.

    I cannot wait for Sunday. Tough conditions. Tough environment. Tough opponent. Lots on the line. How will our beloved Fins respond. Dec 22nd and we have a hell of a meaningful game on our hands. Been a long time since we can say that.

All things considered, I guess I like this year's team better than the final two Sparano teams. I'm more optimistic about the future now than I was two years ago. But still, just another 7-9, 8-8, 9-7, "whatever" season with embarrassing losses aplenty.

    I'm so disgusted having had a few hours to digest this. The disparity between what could have been (the playoffs!) and what is (the Jets are better than us) is so saddening.

    Two things about Tannehill. 1. His deep ball is pathetic. Wallace had burned guys maybe a dozen times this year and always gets over/underthrown balls for his efforts. Dierdorf was all over Tannehill today when he missed Wallace and I'm happy he was cause it's very bushleague how he misses those throws.

    2. That play where he scrambled on third and really long, and then slid like a pussy just short of the line to gain made me want to rip my hair out of my head. Of course a brain-dead, predictable handoff to the fullback followed on 4th down and failed but fucking come on, Ryan. Lower your shoulder and make a play.
