Dude...absolutely. The new ones suck so bad.

As for this win over the Patriots. Yeah...nice win. But man, there have been so many times over the past decade and a half where Miami beat New England....and it led to nothing for them and New England went on their merry way afterwards. Some notable examples....

2004: Late season Monday night game. Miami picks off Brady 4 times and comes back from two scores down late in the 4th quarter. (Patriots finished 14-2 and won the Super Bowl, Miami finished 4-12)

2006: Complete dominance as the Dolphins beat the Pats 21-0. Brady finished with less than 80 yards passing and looked like a complete buffoon the entire game. (Patriots finished 12-4 and lose in the conference championship, Miami finished 6-10)

2008: With Brady out for the year, the Dolphins break out the wildcat formation for the first time and slaughter the Patriots in week 3 (Both teams finish 11-5, Miami wins the tiebreaker and gets killed by Baltimore in the wildcard round)

2009: Dolphins beat the Pats in a close game in the middle of the season. (Pats finish 10-6 and get killed by Baltimore in the wildcard round, Dolphins finish 7-9))

2013: This one sticks in my craw the most. The Dolphins win a close, thrilling week 15 game over the Patriots to improve to 8-6. They only need to win one of their last two games (at Buffalo and hosting the Jets in Rex Ryan's last game) to make the playoffs. (Pats finish 12-4 and lose conference championship, Miami gets killed by both Buffalo and the Jets to finish 8-8 and out of the playoffs)

2014: The Dolphins blow out the Pats in week 1. This is our year! (Pats finished 12-4 and won the Super Bowl, Miami finishes 8-8 and misses playoffs)

2015: The Dolphins get a week 17 win over the Pats that cost them homefield advantage...but does nothing for them. (Pats finish 12-4 and lose the conference championship to the Broncos, Miami finishes 6-10)

2017: The Dolphins win this Monday night game. (Pats will make the playoffs, Miami likely won't)

I miss my old pal PJFAN13 who was always hopelessly optimistic about the Dolphins in this thread, which is in stark contrast to my everlasting pessimism regarding this franchise.
