I guess that makes moments throughout the season enjoyable. But sometimes mediocrity is more annoying than outright sucking. I guess it's a matter of would you rather be hopeless or have your hopes raised and then endure the failure. Look at least season: a great week 15 win over the Patriots that meant that all they had to do was either beat the Bills in week 16 or the Jets in week 17 to make the playoffs. They lost both: getting shut out by the Bills and beaten badly at home by the Jets. And then this year, like I said, they were in position to beat Denver, Baltimore, and Green Bay (all perennial playoff teams) and they lost all three. They're better than bad but not close to good. If you were to break up the NFL into three tiers (good teams, mediocre teams, and bad teams), the Dolphins would not only fall into the mediocre category, they'd be the kings of it.

I went to the AET after my cowboys won, to see what was up in the Cowboys and Eagles threads....your dolphin thread was actually front and center and I made my I'll advised post. By no means did I mean you, personally, suck. I meant the team altho they are actually more mediocre than bad (as you pointed out). As the talking heads like to say "you gotta have a QB to win I this league." I'm not convinced tannehill is the guy. I, like you, am tired of patriots, patriots, patriots, year in and year out. Every time it looks as if the fish might challenge, they lay an egg.

I never want to be a troll.....last night's post was definitely trollish....nothing to add, just garbage. As you may or may not know, I post a fair amount in the SF Giants thread and a fair amount in other baseball threads. I try to talk baseball and not just say things like "you suck".... the baseball threads are pretty good that way...except for the clueless d**ger fans who troll (no other word for it) the Giants thread. It's beyond annoying....next time I post in your thread, I'll have something constructive to say.

Anyway, nobody is less surprised by the result of the Baltimore game than me. I've been saying it all week: Baltimore wins December games with playoff implications and frankly, Miami rarely plays in them. Still, I'm pleased with this season so far and am hoping for like a 9-7 finish. If nothing else, the culture has appeared to turn the corner after the god-awful Philbin era. A couple of play-makers have emerged in Ajayi and Parker and that's cool. Tannehill is still Tannehill though...despite Gase's fine effort to mask it.
