Same old Dolphins. The same way I kept my guard up after the 3-0 start, I kept my guard up today after taking a 17-3 lead. Yeah we got screwed on three bullshit penalties that carried automatic first downs...but the offense, as good as it was in the 1st half, sucked so bad in the 2nd half. Very typical Dolphins/Patriots game actually. Dolphins did a lot of stuff well (running the ball, converting 3rd downs) and kept Brady in check...but still lost. Same old shit.
    Dominated 1st half
    Got dominated 2nd half
    Weeping...
    Farts...

Gonna take some resolve, perseverance and fortitude to put this kind of loss behind them. Cinci in 96 hrs...oline has to get better...Gibson loss hurts badly.
If this Fins team goes .500 I could be shocked.
Haven't won a game since September.
    Sickening.

In the span of 80 hrs the Fins:
Have blown a 14 pt lead to a rival on the road
Had the new LT's knee drained daily
Had the team question the coaches game-planning publicly
Had the old LT, now RT miss 2 days of practice and walk away from the team due to a prank
Had their best blocking TE miss every practice this week
Had the rookie K get false reinforcement after missing 4 of his last 5 FG's
    Yay!!!
Did I mention we have the Bengals in less then 20 hrs?
    Yay!!!
    Fins 27 Bengals 24
4-4, time off, TampaBay next Monday the 11th...
5-4 heading into big home game vs Chargers
Clinging to 6th seed, win out, Super Bowl Champs
Steps away from the Halloween candy :lol:

The season either begins or ends tonight. If we win to get back to .500, we're in the thick of it. If we lose, we're fucking done. There's only gonna be one available wildcard this year (cause one will likely be the runner-up of the AFC West; Denver or KC). So that leaves us battling it out with the Ravens, Jets, Chargers, and maybe the Texans and Bills. Certainly on paper we're as good as any of those teams. But on the field? So far...no. Like I said, if we win tonight, we're in fine shape going into the 2nd half of the season...right in the thick of things. If we lose, we're done. A loss means we're the same old Dolphins (which REALLY last week's loss proved but we'll ignore that for now). Lose tonight, and they really need to take a long look at Philbin, Sherman, and as always, Ireland.

Never in my life have I seen a game end in OT with a safety. And as I am typing this I find out why....its the first time it has ever happened. Back to .500 and still in the haunt and time to go after the Bucs.

Great win! Can't keep blowing fucking leads like that but we're running the ball well, forced some turnovers, and had a great drive at the end of regulation to go to OT. And the D stepped up big in OT. Good to be off the schnide.

    3rd time, actually... ;)
Nice to have a knee–braceless Wake tonight...
Hopefully this win energizes the team and sets them on a winning 2nd half...

The offense's ineffectiveness on 3rd down conversions will be the eventual down fall of this team. This team needs to be balanced to be successful and the offense has not been holding up their end of the deal. One touchdown in the last 6 and 1/2 quarters is terrible. 3/14 on third down is not going to cut it.

That being said, big win. They must somehow find a way to get 6 of their next 8 to get to 10 wins and in the playoffs. I don't think 9-7 gets it done.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

marvin lewis' ridiculous 3rd and 4 call with 90(?) seconds left gave you guys the game. just get the 1st marv, run the clock down and then kick the FG.

I've never cared for sports rhetoric like that: "gave you guys the game." Especially when it's one play and ESPECIALLY when it's something as minor as this Marvin Lewis play-call you're talking about. That would imply that everything that happened before and after it didn't matter.

    No he didn't.

I'm kind of an impartial observer....I didn't really care who won....I just thought it was a bad decision at the time. the bengals had shown they could probably pick up a first with a short pass. no offense intended ;)

None taken and I'm not trying to jump down your throat. But shit like, for example, when a player says "they didn't beat us, we beat ourselves" I can't stand that stuff. And singling out single plays and saying that it decided a game is another pet peeve. The Buckner play for instance, the Jackie Smith drop in XIII, etc.

Yeah I read about in the paper. The commentator on NFL Network said it was the first time. But still a Win is a Win and this team needed one badly. The schedule kinda softens up a bit. I would be nice to get a win streak going on here. GO PHINS

Maybe this is all a blessing in disguise. The line has struggled and Tannehill has gotten sacked more than any other QB this year. Certainly Incognito and Martin are partially to blame. If there's animosity between your left tackle and left guard, the line as a whole is gonna struggle. I say good riddance to both of them. This might be what we needed.

Absolutely. Incognito is getting a bum rap here, but he won't be allowed back.
Good riddance Martin. Soft and now a locker room divider. Job-coster also.
    Such embarrassment.

Well guys... I guess I have chosen a bad week to quit smoking with our beloved Phins in turmoil. I agree this can be a blessing and it seems the locker room is behind Incognito. This can actually pull the team closer which I think it will. From what I have seen and read the players are pissed off at the media and other BS. I predict the Phins take out the BS on the Bucs on MNF.

The locker room backs Richie Incognito...the players who have come out in support of him speaks volumes about the way Martin was perceived. Tannehill, Pouncey, Wake, Starks, Clabo, Hartline, etc... have all stood up for Incognito.
More to this story then we're being drip fed each day.
Sucks for Dolphins fans who support this team and want the best for this once very proud franchise.
I'm embarrassed for ownership and the coaching staff and most of the players...
As much as I'm pissed Martin didn't handle it the way I would have, I'm hopeful he gets some clarity and relief and goes on to do something off the football field that brings him something of a happier existence. He sure as hell ain't suiting up for the Fins anytime soon. Not sure any NFL team will have this guy.
I'm hopeful these guys still in the locker-room bond from this, build a unity that strengthens the team and allows them to have a razor sharp "us vs the world" mentality for the remainder of the season.
I think Jeff Ireland is a goner for sure when this dusts settles. Maybe sooner then later.
Philbin, unless this team tanks, is probably safe. The line coach (Turner) who ordered the code red is probably gonezo.
Wish we were talking about something other then this national nightmare that no-body but the guys in that locker-room knows the truth about.
This story has made me re-think the sanity and smarts of the Dan Patricks, Tom Jacksons and Bermans of the world - holy conclusion jumpers...jeez...

Not to the Dolphins. That was their lowest rushing total ever. But such futility has happened several times before around the league. Dozens of teams have rushed for negative yards in a game over the years. The record for fewest rushing yards in a game is -53 by the 1943 Lions.

Anyway, this team sucks and is going nowhere. They're only a game out of the wildcard...which manipulates my brain into thinking they can make the playoffs. But they can't. The teams we're competing with (Jets, Ravens, Titans, Browns, Chargers) are all better than us. Especially the Jets. They're way better than us. Kills me to say that...but hell....it's been the case for the past four years so whatever.

Would Miami be interested in trading a #1 pick for Trent Richardson? :P

I'm worried about PJFAN13. Where is he? Has he sunk into a deep depression over the current state of the Fish? I knew that 3-0 start wouldn't be healthy for him. Got the poor guy's hopes up. The three game slide, the bizarre Incognito/Martin thing, and the latest prime-time embarrassment was a nice reality check for me but it might have damaged PJFAN13. He's a more optimistic Dolphins fan than I am. He thinks they can someday win the Super Bowl. I think they provide me with tons of material for my hacky Sunday afternoon stand-up routine.

"Of course he dropped it! You try catching a football with fins instead of hands!"

LOL - love ya, Ledbetterman10... strangely, I'm not depressed. I'm more embarrassed then anything. This team just finds new ways to twist the dagger man...I was very nervous going into the TB game, the fact we lost it doesn't surprise me a bit. In fact, I'm shocked we weren't shellacked New Orleans style. Really. With that ridiculous distraction, no Oline and horrible play calling, we were bound to lose.
We don't have any one thing we do well outside of punting. I like Tannehill, but he's average and learning. O-Line blows. Our once proud and stout run D has disappeared. Our corners don't stay healthy, outside of Wake nobody sets the edge. LB's are mediocre at best & certainly not an upgrade over Dansby & Burnett.
It's embarassing. We are a game back mathematically of the playoff race, with 2 games against the Jets, rematch with Bills, rematch with Pats, Carolina, Pitt and SD on tap. After the past two weeks of O-Line decimation, people working in fear, the team could win every game but then what? 37-3 playoff loss??? No thanks.
Blow it up. Ross needs to sell, to a FAN with coin who will buy the best GM, coaching staff and smart football people. Clean house. Build an Oline. I dunno...
That being said, I love our chances Sunday against the Chargers...the season starts for REAL on Sunda...
    Farts..

While Armando does a nice job at times, he really blew this Pouncey thing over the last few days.
Pouncey's barber "tweeted" that Mike is tuff and even got his hair cut in a hospital bed Sat morn. Nobody in Miami reported it. I emailed Armando about after I heard it and he gave me a "check my twitter timeline, he's playing" snarky response.
Lo and behold he's out today.
    WTF?
These reporters sometimes blow my mind.

You realize 3 weeks ago we move Martin over to RT, sign a done-zo McKinnie and bench Clabo only to move him back 6 days later when Martin quits...a few days after that Incognito is suspended, a week later Yeatman tears ACL done-zo and now Pouncey misses today due to kidney/gallbladder/internal organ pain.

Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot. OLINE is everything. Without one you are doomed. Healthy ours sucked. Now = Lingerie Arena League at best. FUNGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL     :cry::cry:

Ryan Tannehill could literally be maimed today.

Yeah next Sunday will be tough. I hope more people show up to the game. I hope they will still be in the hunt come Dec. 15 against NE. I got tickets and want to see a meaningful game.
