I think this is a great idea to have a Pearl Jam exclusive clothing line!!! Brings back great memories of my younger years watching and listening to the band. To this day this is still my style of clothing. Im hoping they come out with more clothes like shorts, EV flannels, EV corduroys, and even EV doc martin boots or shoes!!! GREAT JOB Ten Club keep this unique ideas flowing, i love what your doing with the new merch!!! I bought a jacket and my six year old son wants one bad but they have nothing in youth sizes haha. People need to be a little more open minded, its nice to see Ten Club thinking outside of the box!!
this organization and band is losing me more and more every other day
worried about selling cheap coats that cost $5 to make for 20 x more
how bout some news on the oracle show
joke
p.s. the beard is dirty and disgusting
I've got nothing personal against you, but I saw on the front page your name as the last post and I didn't doubt for a second what your thought would be about this.
You haven't had anything good to say about the band, 10c, touring, Wisconsin, whatever for a long time...which is fine. You are entitled to your opinion, but it boggles my mind that someone would stick around on a band's messageboard for so long when they are clearly unhappy with everything the band does.
So help me out? If you're so upset about everything, why stick around?
sports threads in AET...nothing more
but iam entitled to speak out about this joke
You are entitled to your opinion. But I'm keyed into signs of stress since my dad's heart attack last year, and clearly, this isn't fun for you anymore. Sports thread might be, but that doesn't explain why you still come here every day, just to be disappointed? What gives?
Just worried about your health. This is clearly too stressful for you...

That treasure of a wonderful auburn beard.
Nay:
Leather. In a world of vegetan, it's not necessary.
Settle. Well, Seattle was settled, right? I mean it was already inhabited by the Duwamish and the Suquamish, but you know what I mean.
Made in China ... the odds are pretty terrible that these jackets were made under fair & just labour practices. Were they or weren't they?
Furthermore on that subject -
I'd like to see PJ make an open commitment to only using manufacturing facilities with an exemplary human rights record. A good environmental record would be a bonus. Doesn't matter what country it's made in, what matters is the conditions and a fair wage in the factory's respective economic region. If a proudly fair-labour production process would make this jacket $250 ... I'd be far more inclined to buy it (provided no leather). I ain't loaded, but it's a small sacrifice.
It's nearly impossible to avoid products made in Southeast Asia in squalid conditions, but it's worth the effort to try. The more lucrative contracts the good factories get will hopefully encourage the shitty ones to buck up if they want in on the pie. A'ight, soapbox dismantling time.

I'm following you, but I'm kind of surprised at the made in China outcry in here. This isn't the first thing sold by the band that's made in China. Personally, I try to buy as local as I can, but I also try not to wag my finger from my high pony.
Ugh... I think the members of Pearl Jam would be horrified to see that Made in China sticker... oh, wait, I'm thinking of the Pearl Jam who refused to play unless the army recruiters were banned or the sponsorship banner was taken down, and who have an Activism tab on their website and who do benefits regularly... not the Pearl Jam who made a Target commercial, plays at corporate events, supports Apple and their abuse of Chinese workers (EV merch) or ships jobs overseas by having merch made in China... "If you hate something... don't you do it too."
Part of what I liked about this band, besides the music, was that they were role models in progressive thinking... Lately, one wonders...
if there is someone out there,i respect so much as a fan,i take very seriously its opinion and would love to listen talking about this band is you..
sure is a big and intresting conversation where our favorite band stands right now after 21 years, where and how music intustry working and etc..
and i know exactly what u mean about ship jobs overseas...and i get it and you are right..happens all over here too
the thing i really dont understand how we ALL do some shitty things every day to the planet,to other people, buy things bad for our and others health, and when it comes to this band,we want them to be the rebels with a cause in everything...
its really sad to read that people, only for say something negative, judge and have problem with someone from his looks and his beard, and a letter in a tag..
that has nothing to do with Pearl Jam and their actions....has to do with people try to find to say something negative....

I would bet half or more of these "replies" in this thread were made using a mobile device like an iPhone etc that were made in China. You use these items all day every day. Yet you go crazy when Pearl Jam does anything against what you want. Name another band that caters to every single fans opinions. You can't because there is not one. Now, name a band that goes above and beyond for their fans, and Pearl Jam is sure to be one in that list.
Here is where the problem is. Santos can make a post we all see and read. He is advertising a product. Now once he does and everyone points out the OBVIOUS misprint on the jacket, not one word is said. He can then come back with an exact date on how long the beards been growing, showing he clearly read the replies in the thread. Now how come he never once addresses the issues about the coat, any other questions etc.
Same goes for other things. We can all throw a fit over Pearl Jam playing the corporate gig in SF, and the people who are in charge of announcements and official news, read these threads. That's proven by the comments made in those threads, such as, keep the discussion civil etc. But never reply to the numerous questions comments and desires by us as fans for info we seek. I don't expect them to reply to everything. But it's not fair for them to pick and choose what they do respond to, almost always neglecting to answer the real questions.
Finally I'll say this. It will take an effort and some work but it can be accomplished. We can be patient while they fix website issues, but if we're willing to wait, they should be willing to tell us what's going on. We can, as a group, or members of a fan club, feel we can be more forgiving if more info is shared. I bet if they made a news thread, said Pearl Jam was playing the oracle gig, but also said its for guests of the convention, not a pj show for $2400, we might understand, and say, oh it's for the convention. Not run wild with thoughts and statements of selling out etc but we could agree more if we had a basis to form an opinion.
We should know when the alpine boots will come out. If not we should know what the hold up is.
We should know why we can't log in and when to expect it to be fixed.
We should know Pearl Jam is playing 5 shows this year not 4. Maybe a huge Pearl Jam fan who lives in SF who is terminally Ill would like to see them and the money is not the issue.
We should know when our items promised in the purchase of our memberships should be expected to ship. If its a year late we deserve to know why. If they can make new everything they can make our singles and deep magazine.
We should know if there is a tour and record next year. We've been told shows by Kelly Curtis in a one line blowoff. If they know we should know. Who else hates getting an email on Friday that they need to have all their money ready by the next Monday to buy tickets. Some people do need to save...
I know we will never get what we want. But we would see and hear a lot less bitching if we knew more. Not from the band but by people who are in charge of getting that information out to the public. That's what they are paid for.
You can disagree, we all have that right. But I feel it's what a lot of people feel but don't say publicly.

Well done on managing to summarise weeks of negativity on here into one articulate post. You'd hope that maybe 10C would be more willing to provide some answers (if they have them) if the questions were asked in a more civil way.

i mean really
they dont play shows or make music
its all about the sports on this board
ok im done in here
whoever pays $100 for this....
First, kind of a big deal to misspell the band's hometown.
Second, don't love the jacket. It's exactly the kind of thing the dept store ads were selling during "grunge" for big $$.
Third, I would give a shit but they've already done so many shitty things lately it doesn't really matter.
Finally, cool beard.
