Best song to replace Yellow Ledbetter

Seems like a lot of people would rather see another song to for PJ to close a show with than 'Yellow Ledbetter'. I still enjoy but wouldn't mind seeing other songs to close with.

What do you think would be a good replacement for it?

My choices would be 'Gone' or 'Present Tense'

    present tense is a very good choice but indifference has gotta be the one.

    Indifference is a good choice, but I've seen them close with that before. I was thinking songs that they have never really closed with.

    I think "All Those Yesterdays" would be a nice closer. Can't you just picture all those lighters, I mean cellphones, being held in the air by all the fans????

    honestly i still like YL to close. its a staple. indifference would be nice. i just cant see any other album song doing the job. stick with YL boys and keep tagging it!

    Ive seen a couple shows close with something other than YL.
    It was kinda wierd.
    I think its a perfect song to close with.
    Mike likes to say "goodnight".
    At the end of the song, hes just stading up there by himself while the others watch.
    I hope they never replace it.

    That's exactly what I was thinking; Inside Job could be sweet! I also agree with iwasthere... release would be awsome as a closer.

    They should still play ledbetter but follow it with wasted reprise.

    Indifference would be a horrible closer...what can you do during that song but sway slowly and maybe join Ed for one line ("I will scream my lungs out...").
    Ledbetter at least has quite a bit of crowd participation...

    That said, the song has run it's course. I think Alive is a perfect closer, Baba is good, Rockin is good as well. But, I think to close out a show with a cover isn't always best...I think Betterman would be a good closer too...it's gotta be a classic song that'll get the crowd going before they leave the venue.

    Indiffernce was the closing song for most of the shows in 93 and 94 and worked quite well. I would prefer it over Ledbetter.

    NEVER EVER EVER EVER replace YL as the staple closer...its nice to hear RITFW and Baba (and a few others) close on occasion, but YL is the PERFECT closer...its the best closer in the history of closers!...lol

    and I never get tired of it...if you do, don't complain about it!...you don't hear me complaining about Betterman being played at every show!

    Indifferance is a killer closer but I think I would like to hear them close with "Bleed for Me". When they did it in Philly last year it was sick and the way it ends mid-sentance is a cool way to stop...

    They still close with Indifference sometimes - they did it at East Rutherford 1 this year. I like to think it was a dedication to the attitude of 75% of the "fans" in attendance that night.

    Anyway there's no better closing song than Yellow Ledbetter. I'd like to propose that people stop proposing this topic.

    I don't mind YL.
    Mostly bcos Mike likes to play it, he like to close with it. Atleast that's what I thought. It's like a tradition. Oh & it's a great song. :)

    i don't know about this...would it seem like the show wasn't "complete" if you didn't hear YL close, though...

    that would sound amazing, and wasted reprise, though short, has a ton of meaning and emotion. I like this idea a lot.

    Wanna get rid of ledbetter... it makes the show feel incomplete...

    letes get rid of betterman or even flow as they are playing every show and play something rare
