SWEEP!!! Man Rodriguez sure is a hot head and a real POS!

What did he do? I think I missed it...
Barking at the Cubs dugout late in the game when it was inevitable they were gonna get swept. He proceeded to K that at bat. Sit down ahole!
Hahaha, yeah, that guy is a real dick!

Nice win. This team is on quite the run.

As a Cubs fan, I liked the strategy of not letting Harper beat us. As a baseball fan at the game yesterday, I wanted to see him hit.

Why was Hammel used as a PH late in the game today? I would understand if he came in to bunt but he was up there swinging.

No position players left, and Hammel was batting .238 prior to that at-bat.

Yeah getting some grief about that from fans of other teams. I said blame WSH for not having anyone decent hitting behind him!

Can't believe this start to the season. They just make it look so easy while having a ton of fun!
So glad I dropped the $ on the MLB package! I would be a complete idiot if I missed this potentially historic season!
    Lester tonight!

I love how Dusty and Roark were saying the Cubs were playing "Scared baseball" by walking Harper so much.

Nope, that's what you call "smart baseball".
If Dusty wanted to play smart baseball, maybe he should have put Daniel Murphy...you know, the guy hitting .395...behind Harper instead of Zimmerman...the guy hitting .236.

    Ha!

I agree with you, but these managers don't like to have 2 lefties batting in a row, if they can help it. I don't get it. I say put your best lineup out ther, even if that means you have 5 lefties in a row.

Zimmerman had 14 LOB himself, in one game!>LOL

Strasburg 7 year, $175 million extension. Holy fucking crap!
If Arrieta keeps pitching the way he is, not only will he be getting the fattest payout by any pitcher, ever...but he won't be wearing Blue next year.

I believe he is signed through next yr thankfully. No easy solution to this. If he keeps on this pace you can't let him leave if at all but since he is a BorA$$ client they will want big money which i get but long yrs, which is a bad thing imo. Lose lose situation is what i feel unless they ink him for like 4 yrs, 5 max.

I thought Arrieta signed a one year contract in the past off season for like $10mill avoiding arbitration.
From what I've read Borass is looking to land him around a 7 year deal, which is absurd.
4-5 makes sense, but it's going to be insane what kind of money he pulls in.

7 yrs is stupid. Pretty much guaranteed for a pitcher 1 yrs worth of the contract will be on the dl. He is eligible for arbitration again after this season but won't be a free agent until after 2017 season.

Soler and Heyward really struggling at plate. Not gonna win em all but when your 2 worst starters (statistically) pitch great and you lose em both it's frustrating.

I don't care much for Soper, but when heyward starts hitting, they will literally be unstoppable. Heyward has already saved runs in right. So he's worth the money so far, even with a .230 average.

Whatever his peers max out at he'll get equal or more..I think most aces have gotten 6 or 7 years. Market price
