I remember, as I am sure you do, people giving Theo a standing ovation when he was signed and introduced. I remember all of the Cubs fans losing their little minds. On the other hand, ask the Red Sox fans about some of the free agent signings Theo stuck them with. I have a feeling Boston was happy to see ole Theo leave town.

I dont give a Fuck that Theo and Jiminy Ricketts warned all the fans that this process of rebuilding would take time. Fuck them. They should be ashamed of the product they are putting on the field.

Yea fuck em all..truly a shit organization..their "warning" was the biggest joke of all..in this day in age of sports..winning now is the only option...When ed mentions theo at the show (its certain he will) I better hear a chorus of boos..

The first game at Wrigley Field (then Weeghman Park) was played on this date in 1914. The Cubs actually won.

A damn shame Villenueva can't get the win. He pitched great, but Marmol's pathatic ass couldn't close it out. Thinking they lose in the 9th here.

We won a game yesterday, if we win one today that's two in a row. If we win one tomorrow that's called a winning streak. It has happened before. SO LET'S JACK IT UP A LITTLE!

Heard a lot of dead air between len and deshaies (is that his name) this year..It almost sounds like deshais has no idea about anything else other than baseball so he just stays quiet.. ..

Lou Brown was a great manager.

On a side note- it is going to be a long summer for both baseball teams in Chicago this year. It's still early, but both have been fucking pathetic.

4 games against Miami starting today. Cubs are 6-14 .300; Miami is 5-16 .238 should be some stellar baseball the next 4 days. :fp:

It's called rebuilding with the goal of creating an organization that delivers on-going success. Getting bad contracts off the books, acquiring young talent and prospects, developing a farm system

The cubs starting pitching has been surprisingly good the past couple weeks. Hope I didn't just jinx it.

The starting pitching has been solid all season but its tough to put too much stock in the last few games. The Marlins are not a good team at all.

The very NEXT YEAR, it all changed for the Cubs and their fans.
They won the division, they CHOKED in the playoffs, and ever since 84 Cubs tickets have skyrocketed in price. Before 1984, 5,000-10,000 people would show up at the game, and you could sit wherever the fuck you wanted to. After 1984, it turned into Yuppie-Fest!

DOWNTOWN AND PRINT IT!!! Agreed, the best rant ever, cause it's not ripping a player, opponent, or ref, it's ripping the fans, who pay his salary. Truly a classic!
