Theo and Jiminy Ricketts will go down as a complete JOKE!
But they will have built a 300 car parking garage and a Jumbo-Tron.
the ricketts clan sure seems more interested in the money side of the equation. you are in a huge market, with 3M plus churning thru the gates at a stadium with the highest ticket price around, plunking down 7 bucks a beer for 3 hours, buying jersery's for whatever clown you can find to boot the ball....and yet it's not enough. but they can't win a championship without a jumbo tron
and a 300 car garage. ... oh boy. 300 cars you say. wow...amazing. and a hotel that will have 75 spots.
didn't forbes just recently say the cubs had the best bottom line in baseball?
I am now the proud owner of 2 bobblehead dolls.
George Scott?
Really?
I couldnt get Yount, Molitor, or maybe even Hammerin Hank?
I get George Scott?
who?
Exactly!
Nice statues of Yount and Hammerin Hank outside the ballpark.
The concessions sucked monkey balls (Comiskey does it right!)
Glad the roof was closed. I will go back to see what it looks like opened up.
The tailgaters were having a blast.
They really ned to work on the concessions though, a nice modern park like that, and all you can get is a beer and a brat?
Take me piece by piece..... Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....

Went to a Brewers game a few years ago and got a Jim Gantner bobblehead. All of my friends had no idea who he was. To this day, I still don't know why they gave away his bobblehead.
Didn't the Brewers once give away CC Sabathia bobbleheads AFTER he had left to go to the Yankees?

You have no idea how much of an icon CC was here! He basically put that team on his back and carried it to the playoffs for the first time in over 20 years. I believe he pitched 3 times in the last week of the season. He deserves a bobble head giveaway every year if it were up to me.
on the bright side...looks like Miami is aiming for the worst record as well.
I could not have gone to a better game, to see just how fucking disgusting a Cubs team this is.
They give up 3 hits, make 3 errors, and lose 4-2.
The Brat Stop was delicious as always.
When it is all said and done.
Theo and Jiminy Ricketts will go down as a complete JOKE!
But they will have built a 300 car parking garage and a Jumbo-Tron.
They also will have brought the greatest band in the world to their ballpark for a concert. Sadly as a Cubs fan this concert will probably be the greatest thing I see in this ballpark, so for Theo and Jiminy, this has to count for something, right?

God, they may very well collect the most losses in a season record this year. Pretty sure most AAA teams could beat them. Hell, I bet some AA teams could! :x
Dont give then your money.
Stay away from Wrigley.
This team isnt worth the time of day.
It is just so bad. I can't watch anymore games for awhile. It is only the first month into baseball season and I'm already pissed off and disheartened. :fp:

I tried.
I truly tried.
But I am done.
I cant see myself watching more than 1 or 2 games all year.
If I want to go to a game, ill go to Milwaukee or Comiskey.
Upper Deck at Comiskey, on Sundays, is $7 a ticket.

We have all been through these seasons before. Don't you people remember the late 80's and the early to mid 90's? Just remember, there always next year.

be curious what actual attendance is vs. annouceced attendance this season. they have been annoucing crowds in the 30k range lately. if that holds up, they will end up around 2.4M for the season. actual might be more like 1.6M.
i know wrigley is a draw in the summer, but i can see people finally saying enough is enough....i will not buy your $6 stub hub ticket 6 hours before the game. i will not pay $7 for a beer. i will not watch a pitcher chuck anouhter ball into the outfield.
But hey, put in that jumbo tron and damn it...we'll have a championship

I remember, as I am sure you do, people giving Theo a standing ovation when he was signed and introduced. I remember all of the Cubs fans losing their little minds. On the other hand, ask the Red Sox fans about some of the free agent signings Theo stuck them with. I have a feeling Boston was happy to see ole Theo leave town.
I dont give a Fuck that Theo and Jiminy Ricketts warned all the fans that this process of rebuilding would take time. Fuck them. They should be ashamed of the product they are putting on the field.

that's all you need...well...that and some popcorn.
tailgating up there is a good time. never know when you will get your chance to break your neck on some chicks skateboard.
I once again felt like a dirty old man.
Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....
They had a beer stand stocked with...
Schlitz
Pabst Blue Ribbon
Hamms
Only the BEST for the cheap seats!

worst Ive seen in 30 odd years Ive been watching..
they'll have a streak sooner or later.....and get that up to 60 wins.
lol..good year to bet against cubs every game??? I see more than a few 5-10 game loosing streaks this year..the key is to get out at the right time.
too bad the other team is almost always going to be -200 or more
Go ahead, grasshopper, laugh at my misery...
Brewwwwww Crewwwwww
