I was surprised the band played so many songs from Ten. But it really suited me, because I like more the albums from the 90s.
I have been to 5 shows before and had high expectations, and as always, the band was perfect. Especially Mike and Eddie were on fire (Eddie maybe a little bit drunk, but not too much - well why not, he's a singer of a rock band!).
My highlights were Crazy Mary, State of Love and Trust, Love Reign O'er Me and Garden (I heard last two for the first time live). Of course I would love to hear some other songs as well, but then it would be a 60 song set list :)
The crowd was also energetic, this was my first scandinavian concert and I expected them to be more reserved. Well, upper stalls were sitting, I can't imagine doing that on the rock concert.
All in all, another perfect Pearl Jam concert.
Hope they come soon back to Europe, preferably eastern or southern, couse scandinavian countries are really bad for my wallet ;)

My pics are not supersharp but I wanted to show you how happy Eddie at the end of the concert was! :-D

I wanted to write some lines directly after the Stockholm gig I attended, I just couldn’t. The excitement was too great, I needed some days to “calm down” and put my thoughts in order.

The concert was great, sure, I didn’t expect anything else. I have listened to so many bootlegs, I knew they were going to “deliver” something breathtaking. I deeply love almost every PJ song and the ones they cover, so I was just delighted by the set list.

This was my very first show. I was so tense, all day long, I enjoyed X a lot, they helped me to relax a little bit, at least for half an hour.

Then Philip Glass started… yes, finally, they were here & I was going to be a part of that magic world. When they started with Elderly Woman warm tears of joy filled my eyes, I was experiencing pure happiness. You could feel that same explosion of joy from every part of the Globe.

Whilst I never doubted they would deliver a masterful show, the reaction of the public, that huge energy was really overwhelming. PJ are so warm and genuine, they give everything when they play, so I felt I had to give everything back, & I suppose the most of the people in the crowd felt the same. I won’t ever forget Eddie’s expression of happiness and gratitude towards us all. :D

GiventoFly2012, you just gave me goosebombs!! You wrote about this in a beautiful, beautiful way and I can relate to all of it. I, too, was a mess during the day. I was so frickin nervous and by lunch time, I had a headache and was just f*cked up. I was a mess and had to lie down and drink lots of water!

But when I got to the Arena I was very calm and happy, and hearing Eddie´s voice when he started to sing Small town was a very precious moment. I had been nervous about the crowd, like you, but that turned out to be the best thing ever. I loved watching all guys in the band, they were in their best element. I´ve been crazy now for three days, now I´m starting to come down, but as soon I hear a youtube clip from that night the energy is on top again.:lol::lol:

And yes, Eddie was super sexy through the whole thing.;) His voice was the best ever. Have you seen the pics from Stockholm in the media section? They say it all.

Wow, great gig and a few first time songs for me. Bit puzzled about the Arena rules that allowed people out but you had to wait for somebody to leave to re-enter. Thought that they could at least allow 10c members back in. Oh well, their loss, I did not spend my beer allowance that night!

On the morning of the show, I saw a sign to a shop or something, it read 'Yesterdays' I took a pic but can't work out how to upload it here from my IPad. I was blown away when All those yesterdays was played. My sign truly was a sign...in more than one sense!

Eddie and the boys were on fire, as were the crowd. Most were very pleasant, similar to the Swedish people I met. It was my first time in the country. I was blown away by the scenery, how quiet parts of the city were and how much you Swedish guys run!

Bring on the boot, need to relive the experience!

The show was a huge mainstream fan crowd pleaser. I think that many of the fans that had seen the band several times before probably would have wished for some mare rare songs, but thats also a bit selfish. I sat with my brother and a friend who havent listened that much to PJ, and they loved the show!

For me this show was all about the incredible performance by the band and the crowds energy. And I got to hear the only big time favorite song I had left that I hadnt heard (Off he goes).

pretty good show ... as expected, lots of the mainstays and i'm not a fan of small town as an opener ... the show didn't really kick in for me until wws - part of it was related to some things that had nothing to do with the band ... anyhoo - lucky enough to see the band annually so it was really about letting the songs take over ... thought they might play oceans when ed started talking about waves and stuff ...

on a side note - sweden is a lovely country ... pricey for tourists but enjoyed our stay and travel especially to the west coast ... i can eat smoked fish all day ... one thing i want to know is what's the deal with the photo radar warning signs? ... gotta love socialists! ...:lol:

An amazing gig and a beautiful city!! Such good energy and the band were in fantastic spirits.

I am now completely and utterly suffering from post tour depression. I wonder how much a trip to the States would cost next year.... :D

the biggest response was uring Jeremy/alive /black
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
    "..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”

It's been a while since my first Pearl Jam concert and I'm still living on clouds after it. I've been without internet for a while and quite busy but now I can finally share my fantastic experience...

Thanks to my parents (mostly my mother who wanted me to try the breakfast) who payed for my hotel I ended up in the same hotel as the band. I guessed that was the case as I saw Italian fans outside the hotel. What I still can't believe is that I met Eddie at the Spa of the hotel in the afternoon before the concert :D . I had to come closer to him to see that it really was him and I also told him that I had to come closer to see that it really was Eddie because I didn't wear my glasses. We shook hands I told him that my name is Jonas and that I was going to see the Pearl Jam for the first time tonight. I told him that I've been listening to their music for such a long time and he asked me where I'm from. I told him that I'm from Finland and that I came with the ferry in the morning. He was so kind and it was so unreal to meet him and talk to him the afternoon before my first Pearl Jam show. He told me that his back had been hurting a bit and he was healing it in the cold-water pool. I asked if he can play the guitar and he replied with a smile that he has to. I told Eddie that I would really like to hear Off He Goes and off I went to have a swim and tell my wife that I just met Eddie and told her what we talked. I also saw Jeff and Stone wen they walked out of the elevator, probably on their way to the venue, but I didn't want to disturb as they were on their way.

So now to my concert review. As everyone can imagine I was super-excited before my first Pearl Jam concert but I was quite calm and meeting Eddie before the gig meant the world to me and charged my emotions even higher. When the members of Pearl Jam walked upon the stage it was a magical moment. Small Town was the perfect opener for me and I had intense goosebumbs during the song. I was so incredibly happy to finally see my favourite band live.

I managed to get quite close to the stage about ten meters from the stage and even thought it was hot and sweaty I was pleased to be close to the stage and feel the positive energy of the fans in the crowd. The jumping was quite intese during Comatose and some other songs but it was a lot of fun. Many more shivers during Given To Fly and many other songs.

I just couldn't believe my ears when Eddie dedicated Off He Goes to me along with all other world travellers. It was another magical moment. He didn't remember my name quite correct as my name is Jonas and he said Johan but it didn't make the moment any less special. I screamed that it was Jonas but he couldn't hear me. I knew he meant me and it meant the world to me. I had tears in my eyes during the song and it was an incredible moment in my life. Thank You Eddie!

Other highlights for me was Black and Alive. I had tears in my eyes during Black and the feeling of beeing so close to the band surrounded by fans singing along to Mike's lead melody during Black felt unbelievable. Even though I'm not a religios man it felt somehow like a religious moment. I was so filled with happy emotions and it felt so good to experience it.

I enjoyed every song and I think the setlist suited my needs for my first Pearl Jam concert better that I could have imagined. Of course it would have been great to hear songs like Release and Nothingman (edit: and Immortality and Nothing As it Seems and Daughter and Indifference and RVM and Hard To Imagine and Blood and I could go on and on) but I am 100% sure that this was not my last Pearl Jam show. I am quite sure that Pearl Jam will play Stockholm when they do their next European tour. (Hopefully also Helsinki, Finland).

The whole show felt like a big celebration and like the newspapers wrote it felt like the crowd was a big happy family. The atmospehere was so great during the whole show, especially during the last three songs (Alive, RITFW and Ledbetter). I was in heaven for 2 hours and 45 minutes. Thank you Pear Jam! I love you!
