    On purpose??

I don't think you could dodge Tom Sawyer or Limelight without really trying.

Not on purpose but I don't recall them ever getting radio play in Britain. I largely got my music taste from my dad, not the bands as such just the general genre, and he always played Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, Floyd, Deep Purple, Journey, Tommy Bolin etc but I don't remember any Rush, I don;t know if they're songs or albums you've listed above. I just watched that video though, that seemed pretty cool.
All my favourite singers have stolen all of my best lines.

Dire Straits - Money For Nothing
Steve Miller Band - Fly Like an Eagle
    Beatles - Yellow Submarine
    Pearl Jam - Jeremy (hides)
Also, almost any song from Tom Waits.

I've never been a fan of Rush, Springsteen or the Police. There are a couple tunes I like or dont mind, here and there, but for the most part, I find these bands un-listenable.

The Beatles... Greatful dead and Nirvana.

Not discounting what they have done for music, but its just music I could never get into. I've tried but no dice.

I hate this song also. I've also never been a fan of Nirvana and find them to be EXTREMELY overrated as a band.

Agreed on The Police. I do understand the appeal, but for me, don't really like them at all.

I just must be softening in my older age. I suppose there was a time when there were certain songs I really didn't like listening to but now,

I guess hearing some of PJ songs maybe I didn't care for at first, opened my mind to their form of art and made me see it for that, for it's their art and a part of their life.

now I see and feel that in all music, I say mostly.

True...but that doesn't mean it has to be a part of your life...

Like what you wanna like...don't like what you dislike.

Pretty sure Paul McCartney doesn't get bent out of shape when he comes on here and learns a few people aren't moved by him, not to mention that he's probably looked back and said, 'Why the hell did I release that garbage?' To his own work.

Springsteen's 80s stuff and The Grateful Dead. I've tried, but it doesn't take.
