Just finished listening. Loved the album. "Roll On John" was beautiful and moving.

I heard it about a week ago, but I only gave it a proper listen this morning. It just eclipsed everything else I've listened to this year, and beyond.
My only worry now is that I'll play it to death before the end of the week.

I love that song. Such a heart-felt tribute to his friend and "rival" from the '60s. My favorite from the album.

Yep and have it favorited. What I would give to go back and be in that taxi. Just to see the two of them sharing a cab and having it on film is kind of like De Niro and Pacino's scene in "Heat" at the coffee shop. Just amazing.
They're either drunk or high or both.

Yeah, Dylan looks pretty drunk. Lennon seems to have been pretty sober, and playing it cool though. But maybe he was stoned or something.
Judging by the hair styles and that it's 1966, John could be stoned as that was after "Rubber Soul" and probably the making of "Revolver." Then again, he was known to be witty. I think he is full out stoned.

Noted.
Yes. Great follow up to Blood on the Tracks and one of my favorite Dylan albums. Looks like I know what I'll be listening to now.

I found an original vinyl copy a few months ago (actually while visiting Philly for PJ) for only 8 bucks. Sometimes I can make the case that it is my favorite Dylan album (but then I remember Blonde on Blonde)

I think I bought an original copy also. Forgot how much it was but it was less than $10 and in good shape. For me, Bringing It All Back Home is a masterpiece of an album and one I always go back to. To me, it's his best and definitely my favorite.

That's a great album too. Everything before Self Portrait is a masterpiece. Speaking of which, I still need to get the Alternate Self Portrait Bootleg Series #10.
This new complete box set has encouraged me to go through all 35 albums again. But this time I'm doing it in whatever order I want instead of chronologically.
Listened to The Tempest today for the first time in a while. I thought I could have been rating this album a little too high upon its release just because it was new. But a year and a half after it's release I still believe it is a solid album. I even enjoyed Early Roman Kings which I didn't the last few listens.
Still can't get into Together Through Life. Its just very dull to me. Not one stand out track for me and I gave it plenty of chances since its release.
Dylan's only dud since 1997 IMO (Christmas album is nice around the holidays haha)
