i own a great deal of the 9 bootlegs and 34 studio albums. I own a majority of them. I dont have any albums from his 80s period though, or any from the early 90's

The early 90s were not good to Bob . No need to listen to those three albums. But he ended the 90s quite nicely with Time Out of Mind .
As for the 80s, I highly recommend Oh Mercy (89) and Saved (80).

That's off the next album Shot of Love. And holy crap I meant to recommend Street Legal which actually came out in 78   . Oops all those albums that begin with "s"'s confused me. See that's what happens when you release 34 albums .
Okay, be honest, who here who has heard all 34 studio albums and all 9 of the Bootleg Series releases?
6 bootlegs, 30th anniversary concert, 15 albums and the soundtrack to I'm Not There.
Had. Lost my laptop, lost my ipod, never backed up, and all my stuff is back in Oz.
Can't stand him live, though. Not a single good experience from 4 shows, so I'd quit. Except for the one time when I saw the Frames open for him, but that's the opener, not him.
115 bucks for half a haircut by a novice? I want my money back!
Another Side of Bob Dylan is a very enjoyable album from start to finish.
I find the song 'I Shall Be Free No. 10' so funny.
Best part:
Now I gotta friend who spends his life
Stabbing my picture with a bowie-knife
Dreams of strangling me with a scarf
When my name comes up he pretends to barf.
I've got a million friends!
The last line....
Adelaide 17/11/2009, Melbourne 20/11/2009, Sydney 22/11/2009, Melbourne (Big Day Out Festival) 24/01/2014
I was front row for one of his shows in 2010 and pretty close to the stage at a show in 2006, so I need to be close again
I saw him in 1987 at Wembley Arena when I was 16. It was my second ever concert. I went by myself with a coachload of much older people. He was supported by Tom Petty & The Heart Breakers, whom I remember being really good.

In my top 3 or 4 Dylan albums (and I've heard them all )
This was recorded in one night and released just two months later
All IIIIIIIIII reallyyyy wanna doooooooooooooooooooo is baby be friends with youuuuuuuu
I dont own Oh mercy, or any of his 80s albums, i own everything else. but I just "listened" really listened to Ring them Bells for the first time the other day, reading the lyrics as well, and its just such a gorgeous song. I feel so at peace, and connected to God, and life, and nature when I hear it. No ones mentioned 2 albums that Ring Them bells was on, besides Oh mercy. The 2007 double disc dylan greatest hits, which I believe was chosen specifically by the Bobhead himself. And then Bootleg 8. At this moment the lyrics to Ring them Bells are hitting me pretty hard. May be among my all time favorites of his, but that list would be such an enormous list.
And I dont think anyones mentioned Dylan movies. Dont Look Back is a classic, maybe the archetypal documentary. I found it stunning and intriging when i first saw it, my only complaint was DA would cut out parts of the songs. That Hattie Carrol version in the film is brutal in a good way, but of course the cameras battery died during the last verse.
And of course Im Not There. With a great 2 disc soundtrack. The scene with the girl in the coffin, when Jim James starts singing Goin to Acapolco still gives me chills. One of the more bizaare films we will ever see, but once you understand dylan as an artist, the film makes a great deal of sense.
My goal of rating/reviewing every one of Dylan's 34 albums before the 35th album comes out is almost complete. 4 albums to go .
Nice! Can't wait to see your work.

Small show in Westchester just announced
I know he's coming to CT. I'd love to go but I just spent a bunch on Bruce. Although Bob's prices are cheaper than Bruce's.

I've heard most of them, but not all. I've got about 5 of the bootlegs. I don't think I've heard a few of the 80's-early 90's records.
All bootleg series releases are brilliant except the 7th and the 9th has some duds
