    Good for you, DS.

Its a great program and if you follow it and ESPECIALLY do the right thing diet-wise, you will see amazing results in 60 days.

The workouts are shorter than p90x, but more cardio based and intense. The program is also 60 days opposed to 90. They both work your core and will shed pounds.

p90x, however is better for preserving your lean muscle, building some muscle, and is a better rounded program IMO.

As sprunkn mentioned, a hybrid of the 2 is the ultimate... but not for starters.

    Fitness test. :-|

In all honesty it's obviously a great workout but there's just something mentally I need to conquer. I was raised playing sports so all of my excercise was either running, skating, or working out in a gym with free weights or machines. This stuff feels very "aerobicsy" to me if that makes sense. Almost like at any moment I expect them to pull out a thighmaster. My mind is programmed that girls do this stuff and guys lift weights. This is a workout I would not do in front of my buddies for sure. That being said is was relatively quick for the amount of excercise I did and it made me sweat like Boy George eating a corndog. I'm sure as the weeks progress my mind will change though.

    Oh and Tanya.

And at the end of it when you lose weight and get all ripped, they'll want to do it themselves!

I'm not denying it's benefits at all! I want to lose about 15 pounds and just get away from the running thing and I just quite frankly don't have time for a gym anymore. I know people will always say you can make your own time, but I guess at this point I don't want to contribute 3 hours to the gym considering travel time, showering, etc. This at an hour a day or so in my own home I think will be great. I'm so sore today.

The only part of the program I won't be following is the diet. My metabolism still seems pretty high and I'm a picky eater so I'll control that.

I'm the same way. First of all gyms are disgusting. Secondly, I don't have the time to go to the gym. Thirdly, I don't want to pay a gym membership that I probably won't fully take advantage of. Oh, and it's a great program in the Arizona summer where if you run outside, you will literally die! :D
1-1.5 hours a day in my living room is far more practical for me. The workouts are great (though there are some that I don't like  ) and the program WORKS!

P90X was awesome! While I didn't lose a lot of weight (didn't have much to lose in the first place), my strength, flexibility and endurance are all so much better now. Oh...and I also have upper body muscle now! Shoulders, arms, and abs are really defined and toned!

I took a month off after my first P90X experience and I'm at the end of the first month on my second go-round. I really look forward to it!

    Beachbody has some good programs!

That's why I did it too...and I really think that it's the best workout you could get in such a short period of time. Anything that gets you sweating like crazy just after the damn warmup is intense for sure! It goes by really fast too, which is nice. Just make sure that you go at your own pace, I had a friend try it with me once and he ended up puking 15 minutes into it because he was overdoing it.

I used to have a hockey coach that would make us all run at full speed until the first person puked then he scaled it down. I bet you he can't get away with that shit today anymore.

Yeah, my high school coach used to do the same thing. We'd be like 6-7 miles away from school on a 10 mile run. Someone would get sick and he'd just leave them there. One dude, by the time he got back to the school had to be taken to the ER! That was totally normal stuff back then!

This shit is hard. Had to take a few days off due to a prolonged migraine, but I'm glad I did because it gave some time for the quad soreness to go away.
