I am trying to figure out how to drive in and park close
Reason being that my daughter is due to deliver her baby on Sept. 5th and I am going to be in the birthing room
What if she decides to go into labor on Sunday..and you KNOW she will!
I can't depend on the train.
Anyone know if there is ANY parking?
    peace,

Parking. This is THE single reason I do not have a pair of tickets yet. Once I figure this out, stub hub it is. There is a garage near by, but philapark.org (I think that's the address) shows it has only 191 spaces.

Parking is not a problem. You just can't park right near the venue. Park further away and enjoy a walk through the city...or something.

Speaking of parking...we are staying at the Sheraton Downtown on Sat. night and then driving home after PJ on Sunday night....do you think we should just keep our car parked in the Sheraton garage? Even if it cost more money after we check out on Sunday, then walk back there after PJ on Sunday, if we can't park any closer, I figure we should just keep our car there.

I'd say if you don't mind the cost, then I'd do that. No reason to go driving around looking to only get marginally closer when your car's already parked. And, really, who wants to spend their day dealing with that shit?

Chris Cornell-possibly the only act added to the bill that I consider a negative. Well, that and Drake before PJ.
Im all for a mix of musical styles, but I think I will pass. Sorry I'm just not interested in PJ 20 Redux.

That being said I am sure the band will bring it and I am sure that there will be a record number of tramp stamps on display. That alone might be worth the price of admission.:lol:;)

    PJ 20 redux?

Why would they play TOTD at a public festival? This isnt organized by PJ for PJ FANS ONLY.

Expect an encore with CC. At a minimum. For better or worse, Ed loves to highlight the talents of other players and show respect. Yes, special guests mean less PJ, which, for me, means a less attractive show. I will have to see the prices before I make an ultimate decision. But at the moment, Im just not feeling it. A change from my earlier perspective, for sure. Drake? Really? Thats the best Jay-z could do for a day of rock?
I dunno, it just has a bad vibe for me.

It's not supposed to be split down the middle between rap and rock. If that was the case Some of the bands playing on Sat would have been on Sun.

  • I'm still on the fence whether to go or not. I still haven't completely recovererd from Jimmy Page playing Kashmir with Puff Daddy. If Pearl Jam was to play one of their classics with a rapper, I might be in a padded cell babbling.

Man, people are acting like Pearl Jam isn't going to bring it.

They will and it'll be another great show in the city of brotherly love.

Grab a Cheese steak samwich, drink some beers smoke some weed and enjoy the day,

This is going to be a GREAT time. I want to see a TOTD song or two. It would be SWEET if JZ came out and did Dirty Frank or Sweet Lew. PJ will be back in town to play a non-festival show soon. Enjoy the experience happening now. I know I will. :D

Not sure what the actual price will be, but I grabbed a pair yesterday from stub hub for $65 a ticket. With fees, ended up being $147 for the pair
