    I always keep an eye out here for news or thought about Neil Young.  Hadn't noticed some of his fans here dropped out, but then there are fewer people on the Pearl Jam forums in general than there used to be.  I'm not sure why.  Maybe due to the AMT snake pit, lol.

    What coorporate would BBC do other then the usual of airing the concert on BBC and putting up a video om their Youtube... 

    I would put my money on Neil being grumpy (in this case) other than the BBC being some bond super villain. But obviously if he doesn’t want to allow filming and airing it is what it is.

    Points to a European tour in june-july?

    They have, but it hasn’t been released yet. Neil’s next album “Talkin’ To The Trees” was recorded with The Chrome Hearts. They were his backing band at the last Farm Aid.

    They have, but it hasn’t been released yet. Neil’s next album “Talkin’ To The Trees” was recorded with The Chrome Hearts. They were his backing band at the last Farm Aid.

    If it's outdoors and in June... I wonder if Sweden is in the plans or not if this tour is on the scale of headlining Glastonbury..

    Like... could he play Dalhalla again like in 2016 (~6000 people)? A bit of a trouble getting there for me... Or Stockholm Stadion (30.000 people)...

    Of will a Roskilde gig or something of that nature be enough for the nordics

    All concerts i go was great. (2013, 2016, 2019)
    Hope his voice and health will be good.
    "Comming soon " could be short or long depends artists. Hope for middle of January for planning that.

    Oceanside Countryside is the latest of Neil Young's great “lost” albums to be released as part of his Analog Original Series. The album was recorded from May to December 1977, preceding the release of Comes A Time in 1978. The two albums share the same country/folk sound, and three songs (“Goin’ Back”, “Human Highway” and “Field of Opportunity”) appear on both albums.
    The vinyl release of Oceanside Countryside includes some tracks that are on the CD of the same name in Neil Young’s Archives Vol. III. However, this track list is how Oceanside Countryside was originally planned to be released. Recorded on tape, these are the original mixes done at the time of recording.

    All the songs on the “Oceanside” are performed solo by Neil Young. On “Countryside” Young is joined by a band of his friends: Ben Keith (Steel Guitar), Rufus Thibodeaux (fiddle), Karl T. Himmel (drums), Joe Osborne (bass). On “The Old Homestead” Tim Drummond plays bass and Levon Helm plays drums. “Pocahontas” is Young solo.

    Please note that while the songs on Oceanside Countryside appear on Archives Vol.III, the versions are not always the same and the track list is the running order for the original Oceanside Countryside album. On this Analog Original vinyl release, the versions of “Lost in Space,” “Captain Kennedy” and “The Old Homestead” are from Hawks & Doves in 1980. “Sail Away”, “Goin’ Back”, “Human Highway”, “It Might Have Been”, and “Pocahontas” are the same versions as on Archives Vol. III in digital. “Field of Opportunity” and “Dance Dance Dance” are the original versions that have Young on backing vocals instead of Nicolette Larson as they appeared on Archives Vol.III.     It is not known whether the change of heart means Young's 2025 Glastonbury set will be televised.

    The BBC has been Glastonbury's exclusive broadcast partner since 1997, and broadcasts more than 50 hours of coverage every year.

    However, the last time Young played the festival in 2009, he only allowed the BBC to show a short portion of his two-hour headline set.

    The corporation said at the time it had spent a "couple of months" negotiating with Young's management over televising the performance.

    In the end, his team only agreed to let five songs be broadcast, a decision that was made as Young was playing on the Pyramid Stage.

    "They believe in the live event and retaining its mystery and that of their artist," explained Mark Cooper, the then-executive producer of the BBC's Glastonbury coverage.

    "You probably won't find too many Neil Young performances available freely on TV or online," he added. "He generally prefers the audience to find his albums."

    In his initial post on Tuesday, the star lashed out at what he described as the BBC's "corporate control" of Glastonbury, and said the festival "is not the way I remember it being".

    Artists are not forced to hand over broadcast rights when they play the event, and often contracts are signed at the last minute.

    Lol, so he just decides on a whim whether to pull out of playing a gig or not?  Then the next day decides he'll play? What a joke.   Yes, I'm still bitter about Ohana and probably will never see him play now.
