Lol, so he just decides on a whim whether to pull out of playing a gig or not?  Then the next day decides he'll play? What a joke.   Yes, I'm still bitter about Ohana and probably will never see him play now.
He did the same with Spotify.  I love some of NY's albums, but he's a mess.  Look at the way he handled his own ipod (lol) and other personal issues.

I can't fault the guy for an aneurism, but he said "I'll make it up to you, Winnipeg". Never did. Then cancelled again last summer. The show was the week of my 50th. Dad and I were going. No makeups announced. Ugh.

That happened in 2005.  Then he played Winnipeg in 2006 w/CSNY, 2008 w/band, two acoustic shows in 2010, w/Crazy Horse in 2012, then acoustic again in 2014.  Not sure what else needed to be “made up.”  He played Winnipeg lots.

I never said he didn't play here after. But "I'll make it up to you" to means something other than "I'll make you pay to see me again since I couldn't make this one".

As opposed to the one song he would have played at the Junos that he missed?  I’m not sure, he played here lots.  And he does what he feels like, when he feels like it.

BUT WHAT HE DID DO THAT WE ALL HATE--

Is cancel the 2013 Way out West concert here in town the day of, because someone in the band cut himself on a knife at breakfast

And then come back in 2014 BUT PLAY STOCKHOLM.

I didn't go to the 2014 show. But should have BITE THE BULLET. Turns out a legendary swedish singer songwriter played his last ever concert at that Stockholm festival the night after Neil.

    FUCK

That does suck for fans, without a doubt.  Unfortunately, at certain age, life is a day-at-a-time kind of thing.  Hopefully you'll get another chance to see Neil.

My brothers said they both thought it was the best in years. I had believed they would laugh about it like many late-era Neil things. I dig it well enough. Makes the album sound promising. I enjoy this Neil. But I love the moody Neil the most.

Also, he has such weird phrasing sometimes. Often the lyrics are too wordy for the melody. But here he could have sung an early lyric with the melody but still sang it a bit off. A choice I guess.

    Nice!

I've always thought the CSY harmonies would be killer on Lotta Love

I kind of think... Courtney B would work better with a more upbeat or off-beat song. Something from the 80s maybe.

Wish Eddie would have picked something more... surprising and out there...

From the tracklist I am the most excited for Brandi Carliles Philadelphia.

    TRACKLIST:
    01 Brandi Carlile – “Philadelphia”
02 Fiona Apple – “Heart of Gold”
    03 Mumford & Sons – “Harvest”
04 Eddie Vedder – “Needle and The Damage Done”
05 Courtney Barnett – “Lotta Love”
06 Stephen Marley – “Old Man”
07 Sharon Van Etten – “Here We Are In The Years”
    08 Lumineers – “Sugar Mountain”
09 The Doobie Brothers with Allison Russell – “Comes A Time”
10 Steve Earle – “Long May You Run”
11 Rodney Crowell – “Mr. Soul”
12 Anders Osborne – “Cowgirl in the Sand”
    13 Charlie Greene – “Such A Woman”
14 Chris Pierce – “Southern Man”

Agreed. Eddie will nail it, but it would be nice to hear a song he hasn't done before.
